07-8-2009 - Thoughts on being pregnant

My mood while writing this blog:
Really hasnt sunk in yet

So im excited to think that on monday I will be in week 5 but also at the same time im so paranoid about another loss. Apparantly with my last pregnancy it stopped growing properly at 5.5 weeks so for me this following week will be a bit scary.........well actually its going to be scary until I have my 12 week scan and see my baby jumping around on the screen!
Last night I was a bit crampy which makes me so paranoid I hate it! I just try to tell myself that its my body growing and stretching. Its weird coz with my last pregnancy I had majorly sore boobs, but they are only slightly sore this time and just right up the top and kinda near my armpit. I even wish that I had morning sickness to feel more pregnant, crazy really coz if I had it then id wish I didnt! I do however have yuk bloatage like AF bloatage which I guess will only get worse until theres a baby belly to show off :)
I even took another test the day after I found out just to make sure, its so exciting to see that second line come up!
I think when I get to week 6 I might go to the Dr and get my HCG levels checked to make sure they are rising before getting a midwife, just incase.
I think the hardest thing for me for now is not telling anyone, the only people who know are my man, our daughter and of course my best friend Debi, coz not telling her would just be wrong!!!

i can understand you being paranoid but so try and relax bothfor you and baby :):):) i hope it all goes great for you. Aboutthe ms i still have none at 8weeks soim just hoping i dont get it badfor having none so far. Just sore bbs sleepy and no af only real symptoms i have yet

Ok...coming from someone who was JUST with you in this scary early pregnancy boat I would like to add ITS GOING TO BE OK! Early pregnancy has so much cramping that feels like AF is just around the corner. It's crazy! I was just like you being all paranoid about every little tinge. It's normal. We lost our babies so of course we want no pain or weirdness. I also had a TON of spotting with this pregnancy that has driven me crazy, but everything is fine so far. Also my BBs didn't get sore until I was almost 8 weeks this time and now I'm wishing it would go away! lol. Still not as sore as the first pregnancy, but ouchie. And my sickness came at about 6 weeks. I never actually got sick. Right now I don't feel pregnant at all! I'm so glad my mom got me a doppler so I can hear the baby. Otherwise I'd still be a wreck. Try asking your doc for an earlier scan because hcg goes up even with a blighted ovum (that's what happened last time right?). The placenta still grows and produces the hormones so that's not a sure fire way to now. I'd ask for a scan in 2-3 weeks to see if there's a baby in there. Good luck sweety! I can't believe that they aren't giving you a scan until 12 wks when you've had a loss already. That seems like craziness! I'd be a nervous wreck, granted I never got a scan before 21 wks (except this time but only cuz we paid) and I was soooo paranoid. I wish you all the best!

Isn't it so exciting!! You'll be fine!! Maybe the morning sickness will kick in gear once your hcg levels really start getting high. Good luck!!
