30-8-2009 - First midwife appointment

My mood while writing this blog:
Feeling good

Today I had my first midwife appointment, she was so lovely and made me feel so comfortable. We did all the usual paperwork and blood work and then talked about my last loss and how I really wanted a scan to ease my mind. She told me that she usually prefers to wait till the 12 week scan but she understood how I felt as she has been through the same so she wrote me the referral and I can get in this week:) Part of me maybe wants to wait till 12 weeks as she said with scans they can be perfect on the day of the scan but then the next day things could be different....... Im just desperate to see my baby though so I know I will make that appointment!
I go back to her in a month which is pretty much right on time with 12 weeks. I cant actually beleive im at 8 weeks already, it seems to be going fast now, probably because im so tired and sleep all the time haha!

For me 8 weeks is the turning point so if you see a healthy little baby in there then I think it's gunna stick! I read about so many losses at 8 weeks or a little before so I have faith that your's is just fine :) I'll be keeping you and your little one in my thoughts! Can't wait to hear the good news!
