09-2-2010 - Placenta has moved and definalty a girl

My mood while writing this blog:
soooooooo happy!!!

So I had my final scan today to check to see if the placenta had moved out the way for me to have a natural birth and indeed it has!!! I am soooooo relieved that I do not have to have a c-section as that would be my worst nightmare! And I asked for the lady to check the sex as its not been a definate answer for me and yes were having another little GIRL!! As much as it wouldve been a really nice surprise to have a boy, I have lots of very cute girly clothes from my best friend and now I can re use all my daughters clothes:)
She currently weighs about 3 pounds and sits right on the average line for growth which is perfect. Getting to see her on the ultra sound today was so amazing, she looks so different from 12 weeks ago - she has cute chubby cheeks and looks like Daddy's nose and lips, not to mention his island feet:)
Im getting so excited about it all now and my daughter has even made up a name which we are going to call her as its the only name that we can all agree on........ Kaleah
I cant wait to meet her

aww thats fab news. i have a little girl and i would LOVE another little girl. i know everyone says one of each is perfect but for me i think thats only perfect for the parents who want to see what both are like. for the child though i think having a sister (from having two little sisters myself) is invaluable. you can't put a price on it when you have a best friend to share your feelings with and your thoughts on growing up, being girly, boyfriends, and then obviously when they get married and have babies themselves in the future. its just something that i think is so special and from friends ive had who have just been brought up with one brother, they have never been that close to them as theyve done their 'male' things and the girl has done her 'girly' things. i think it forced them to grow up quicker and make friends with girls/boys in order to have someone to talk to about personal things. anyway thats my view on it, and plus i think little girls are just magical anyway, they give and give and boys just take, take, take and turn into men who want everything doing for them. well they have always said us females are the stronger sex for a good reason! lol glad the placenta has moved as well, its always a bit of a worry when its lying low but in most cases it moves! : )

Fantastic news! I love the name too and the island feet comment. lol. I'm not an islander but can relate as I have island feet!
