27-2-2010 - My Baby Shower

My mood while writing this blog:
Very happy:)

So yesterday (27 Feb) I had my baby shower which was at my mums house and was put on by me and my friends. I wasnt going to have one as this is my second child but my best friend did remind me that I didnt get to have my first one as I thought I was in labour - I did however end up being in labour the day after that!
SO we had about 15 guests, friends, work collogues and family and it turned out to be such an awesome day! We had some fun games and lots of yummy food. Man did my baby girl do soooooo well!! Im pretty much set now and havnt even brought a thing yet, besides nappies and wipes:)
Im so thankful for such awesome friends I have for such a memorable day:)

COol! IM having one put on by friends around 35 weeks also! Ive bought big things like a second hand mountain buggy, carseat, second hand cot etc.. Are you buying bottles and a breast pump? i dont know if i should!Man, its getting closer eh! Ive got SO much to do too, im going to Aussie week 35 and come back early week 36, (my partner has surf coaching and i want to come) then i have a week off, then getting married, then two weeks after that im due!!!!!! aarrrrrrrrrhhhhhhits all gona be fun though, even living at a surf club with one room!Hows things for you?

Ooooh I'm so jealous lol! We don't really do baby showers here in Scotland, although a couple of my friends suggested they throw one for me but nothing has been heard from them since. Not pushing it, instead I've quietly gone about organising my own baby's essentials, but it would've been a nice gesture. Never mind, both families are so excited and dying to buy baby things, so we'll be ok. Would've been nice to have the girls around me to celebrate though more than anything. Sounds like you had a lovely day, really pleased for you. And the bonus is you're organised now without lifting a finger - fab!! x
