| 21-8-2009 - Gender predictions... | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
This was just a fun thing, I read in a website for "parents-to-be" about gender predictions. These "predictions" are ofcourse not always accurate but just old sayings. Here they are:
1. If your right breast is larger than the left during pregnancy, it's a girl. And if it's the opposite, then it's a boy. I think my right breast is larger now... Don't remember how it was with my son.
2. If you crave citrusfruits (oranges, lemons etc), then it's a girl. I craved tangerines while expecting my son, but this time oranges in the beginning only. So I don't know what that means......
3. Get an "expertoppinion" from a little boy (at between ages 1-4 about), if he is interested in your belly, it's a girl, if he pays no attention to it, it's most definitively a boy. My son who is 14 months old don't really care about my belly, except he likes to put his finger in my bellybutton. And walk on my belly sometimes!!
4. If you dream about having a girl, it's a boy. And if you dream that you're having a boy, it's a girl. Oh this is interesting! I had a dream where everyone told me I had a girl after delivery, but I saw it was a boy. They said "no, the vagina is just swollen". But later on in the dream it actually WAS a boy, and they had told me wrong in the hospital. But so far only boy-dreams I think..?
5. If your face gets rounder during pregnancy, it's a girl. With my son my face got fatter but not really rounder. This time it's not rounder either.
6. A child tends to get the same sex as the parent who was the LEAST stressed during the sexual intercourse when the child was conceived. Haha, I think I am guilty of being more stressed then... So the least stressed was not me, so a boy then?
7. If you can tell the woman is pregnant when looking at her from behind, she is having a girl. If you can't tell she's pregnant when looking at her from behind, it's a boy. Nope, couldn't tell with my son, and can't tell now. My belly looks just like it did with my son.
8. Eat garlic! If you smell like garlic alot afterwards, it's a boy. But if you almost can't tell the smell of the garlic, it's a girl. I had garlic yesterday and I actually thought about me NOT smelling so badly afterwards, even though I had about 6 pieces of garlic in the food... But with my son I absolutely could NOT eat garlic at all. I was really disgusted by it then for some reason.
9. If your hands are unusually soft during pregnancy, it's a girl. If they're dry, it's a boy. My hands are soft. Can't remember how they were with my son.
10. Notice which side you choose to lay on when you go to bed tonight. If you prefer sleeping on your right side, it's a girl. If you'd rather sleep on your left side, it's a boy! I sleep on my right side most of the time.
Ok, so I put some comments on here about what has been/is true for me. I DON'T KNOW THE SEX of my baby in my belly and I don't wanna know until I have him/her. But these "guessing-games" are fun! I did notice now that most of these sayings points to me having a girl now, but I am absolutely sure I'm having another boy. We'll see! Yay, how fun!
Please feel free to comment about this, the more comments the merrier! :-)
