05-11-2009 - 23 Weeks & Luuuuvin It!

My mood while writing this blog:
Really Good

I am so thrilled to be in week 23. I took a look at the schedule and am a bit confused on when I actually hit the 6 month mark. I always remember with my last pregnancies going with the months and this one I am so focused on the weeks as I see that there are so many changes that happen within a weeks time. I will be seeing my lil man tomorrow. I go for the Fetal Echo sonogram which will check that the heart valves are working properly. I will most definately say a prayer that there is no more news that I can not handle. The Club Foot diagnosis was hard to grasp but after rigorous research, happens to be a correctable condition. The Lord is definately watching over baby Jack.I hope they let me have a few more pics as the last one was at 19 weeks and in 4 weeks, we all know how much are babies are changing! So my honey's 18 year old daughter asked why I hadn't asked her to join us in the delivery room. I was stunped! 1st, I didn't realize she wanted to be there and 2nd, I never thought to share that intimate moment with anyone other then my man. I agreed without even asking my honey and now I am skeptical on the decision. I will just have to put soem rules into play like 1st and foremost, you will be located up by me, no peeking! lol How awkward! My relationship with my daughter is improving slightly. She hates when I watch Bringing Home Baby on TLC every morning while we get ready for school and work. I watch this beacuse I like to see the birthing stories. they help prepare my mind for the big day! She feels threatened by it. I will get her to come around, hopefully! I will be having the 1st of 2-3 baby showers this Sunday. My birth mom is absolutely crazy but so excited and wanted to throw this one early. She just can't hold on to gifts for baby and wants to coordinate something. I love that about her and to tell ya ther truth, I am looking forward to getting some clothes, bottles, etc. now as I don't have ANY of those things. I have the crib and so beautiful might I add. 2 car seat-1 with a stroller for those walks to help soothe baby and help me loose some baby fat early on. A beautiful bassinet.Maybe 10 outfits including onesies. That's not alot. I guess I am just waiting until I get closer to start getting everything. I will need a breast pump, one of those awesome video baby monitors, some things that cost a pretty penny. Hope to get some of those things from 1 of the 3 showers I will have! Anyhow, didn't plan to go on like this but life's been good to me. This pregnancy with the exception of the new symptom of heart burn has been going well. My family is coming together and I feel baby Jack all the time. I am grateful. I am blessed. I sprinkle baby dust and labor dust to all those mommies who are delivering and those TTC.

What's up my fellow Puerto Rican mama? I'm glad your doing so good. I'm really stating to get excited to hold my baby. We have the same due date. When do we hit 6 mths? I think we're 5mths and 3 wks today? I'm confused too. LOL talk to you soon.

My little cousin is about 2 now and he was born with a severely clubbed foot but it hasn't stopped him one bit. He is the happiest baby I know and always has been. I'll be praying for you! Good luck and keep us posted!!!

Hey there! Glad things are going well! good luck at your appt tomorrow. You have alot more things bought than I do! I feel like a slacker! I need to get movin!!!!! :)
