10-12-2009 - 28 Weeks Today!

My mood while writing this blog:
Grateful

Every Thursday is another week for me. This makes a milestone in my pregnancy today though. 28 weeks is officially 3rd trimester-officially the start of the 7th month. I got the call from my OB's office yesterday and they did say they found elevated amounts of protein in my urine and that this will have to be monitored closely. They said they will inform the high risk facility I will be going to on Wednesday for the 3rd trimester measurement u/s. Not quite sure what they can or will do about it, but o.k. They tell me if I start to feel dizzy or not so well, that I need to get to the hospital as due to the protein levels this could cause high blood pressure. Ya know, I am not really sure what was said. I feel so uninformed. They have a kid at the dr. office call to give me my results and when I ask questions, she's unsure and the dr. not available. Why not call themselves and inform us completely of health concerns and be sure we understand whats happening to our body or unborn child?? I will call back this afternoon and ask to talk to doc. I think I had some contractions lastnight. I felt some serious pain in klower abdomen and then tightning. I think I remmeber what it felt like. I probably would have gone to ER if it didn't subside which it did thank you God after lying down for 1/2 hour. I am actually scared lately. I have this feeling that I am not going to go to term, that I will be put on bedrest sometime real soon. The pain in my back and rib is unmanageable. I just want to do anything it takes to keep this baby in my womb until it's safe for him to be born. I am more scared then I have ever been and I really need to have faith that God will protect my baby Jack. On a good note, I get to see my son next Wednesday and his progress in growth. Last time I saw him he was 19 weeks developing. I know in 9 weeks, it's a HUGE difference. Can't wait!!!! I hope I can see his little foot and the severity of his club foot condition. I try to put that out of my mind for now cause I really need to not stress and the thought of him being born and going right into a cast for the 1st cpl years of his life STRESSES me out! I will post new belly pics next Wednesday along with pics of Jack after the u/s. I am so glad I have made new friends here. All you ladies are the best support group a women could ever ask for! take it easy and dont stress to much :) im one for stress but trying hard lately not to worry so much about the baby. even if i dont feel it move all the time :). i know how you feel about wanting to do anything to keep the baaby until its time to deliver. i am like that as well. i get scared too sometimes..and yes, im more worried now then i was when i had my girl! i dont know why. i hope things get better medically but im sure the baby will be fine :). and your lucky to get another ultrasound. they told me they wont do anymore unless they see a reason too :(:(. either way, try to relax and congrats on how far you came!! :):)

I cant believe 28 weeks already!!!! Its crazy, Im just a little bit behind you and we have been on this journey together the whole time! :) Cant wait to see new pics of baby Jack! xoxox

Yay! you are in the home stretch!! I hope this makes you feel better and doesn't scare you because that isn't my intention, but I'm already having contractions and laying down helps... This has happened with my last 2 pregnancies too and the docs don't know why. Because I have a strangely high tolerance for pain, I didn't think they were contractions with my first but rather braxton hicks and went into labor at 29 weeks 4 days and delivered at 30 weeks and 2 days. At 28 weeks Jack already has a GREAT chance, you are doing the right thing, just pay attention to your body and try to relax as much as possible!! As always I'll keep you and Jack in my prayers!!

HAPPY HAPPY 3rd TIMESTER! I start mine tomorrow!! I am soooo excited! I cant wait to see pics of your little Jack! Im sure that everything is going to work out so well!!! Chin up!! :) I go to the doc on the 16th, is that when you go too? I get another u/s then to re-do my trimester screening.....XOXO

Congrats on having made it to third trimester. I hope you get to talk to a doctor and get some answers. Sometimes the questions also come later.. Hope all goes well with your next appointment and u/s and that your contractions will ease. I know it's hard not to be nervous. Hang in there. xox Karin

Wow-Sounds like you have a lot goin on chiky. Hopefully everything will go well with the doctor. Just take a deep breath and don't expect the worse. Sometimes we stress out when in the end result comes, it's not that bad! I look forward to your next update!! =D
