09-2-2010 - 36 + Weeks Update

My mood while writing this blog:
Uncomfortable

Hey ladies! So sweet to go to my profile page and see some private messages from ya'll concerned that I have been quiet with my blogs and comments lately. I swear, time has been creeping from me and with wrapping up work on Friday the 19th with my maternity leave taking affect, I haven't had the time I used to. I feel like this place is gonna fall apart without me! I am in the process of making a word document with a count for count on my daily work activities, pw's, contacts, procedures, UGH! Stress is at an all time high! Well, I will be 37 weeks on Thursday. Go every Monday morning for my NST and get my cervix checked. At this point I am still closed but OB says cervix is extremely soft which I knew cause as of 28 weeks I was already 67% effaced. I still have the elevated protein in my urine. I am consistently consistent with that damn thing! :/ Blood pressure remains normal, swelling in legs are normal according to her. The weight gain isn't as bad as I thought as I was heavier to begin with then I thought. I started at 135 and now weigh 176. I hope I'm almost done as darling fiance has created some very creative pet names for me lately.. example: Hamhawks refers to my legs / meat curtains refers to my yoohoo..lol and pancakes refers to my arms..lmao. I actually find it amusing. The man still can't keep his filthy paws off my silky draws! lol Anyway, the doctor can't perform the induction on the 26th as she won't be at that particular hospital that I chose to deliver so the new date is March 1st at night she will have me come in and go through the contractions, etc through the night and if all goes well, I will have my baby son Jack in my arms with a vaginal delivery on March 2nd sometime! This is only 2 days before my due date and if I had confirmation that jack would make his debut on the 4th, I would wait to let him come without an induction as I keep hearing how quick and painful the contractions are but we all know the lil cookie monster could come 1 - 2 weeks late if we let him. Finally, whew, I have my appointment with the team from Children's Memorial Hospital on Thursday to address my son's club foot. They say they got their hands on a sono image cd. How come I didn't get one? :P I will let you girls know how that appointment goes on Friday morning. Well, ya'll asked for it. Long winded blog. All in all, I am just playing the waiting game. Sleepless nights, discomfort, lot's of pain, occassionally getting sick after eating, lotsa activity from Jack, no more braxton hicks. Thanks for caring ladies!

It is good to know you are going to have some time to relax! Use that time I know how all runs together and it seems as if you cant even slow down to breathe, but you deserve it mamma!!!!!

I'm so glad your doing well and that baby Jack is too!! It's so close now we finally get to meet our littl ones. :) I can't wait. I'm glad you found a good hospital, that makes such a difference. Take care of yourself these last few weeks... xoxox

My hubby told me my belly looks like baby is building an outward shelf for him self. Ha ha! He keeps telling me to stop drinking so much beer. Sometimes my nickname is Homer Simpson. Sometimes he makes fun of some of the clothes I wear. Then he say's I guess you don't have a choice. It's whats comfortable to ya. Duh! I'm pregnant it's not a fashion show. In his fantasy I'd be wearing a push up bra showing cleavage and baby doll dress w/ thigh high stockings and high heels.

pet names..hmm ..lol..my fiance didnt give me any..hes probably afraid sence my hormones are so out fo wack right now LOL. you must be relieved that you are going on your maturnity leave :) i know your going through alot so i can just imagine :) hope all goes well with your apt and try to take it easy as much as you can :):)

Good to know all is well! I know how you feel about the work thing I was the same way. I thought for sure it would fall apart without me. I even did what you are doing, I made a spreadsheet of all my day to day activites. However they did survive without me for 8 weeks. Well good luck to you and hope you have a great day.

Good to know all is good. I hope to be right behind you..lol (if she holds out that long.) Love the pet name thing. Me and b/f have pet names but to other people they sound mean..lol Its our weird way of showing love. We "fight" with each other...lol Scares people some times

My BF loved my weight gain because it went all to my butt and thighs LOL I think it is funny to make light of it too. Not much longer til you get to meet your newest addition :o) Good luck finishing up work, I remember how stressful it was for me.

Glad to hear everything is going Well..You'll get to see your little one soon :) I can't wait..I have horrible back pain..it's mostly my sciatiac nerve. I'm only 29 weeks, I don't know how I'm gonna make it 10 more weeks..hopefully it eases up for me. Well I hope your induction goes Well, maybe you'll go on your own before then..you can hope right? =)
