23-2-2010 - Lost Mucus Plug Last Night :)

My mood while writing this blog: Crazy Excited!

This will be my last blog before the induction Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. I had my last doctors appointment on Monday. Had a few contractions during the NST test and then she did the pelvic exam which was extremely painful this time like no other. She said I was 2 cm dialated and need to walk a lot during the next cpl days as she said it will help to thin the cervix. When I got home, I started to feel some menstual like cramps and after wiping, noticed a little brownish discharge. I wondered if the doc secretly tried to activate something in there. The pains continued, not quite contractions just pain and discomfort. Towards the end of the night, I went to the bathroom and wiped and (TMI) there was a glob of mucusy brownish discharge and I knew I lost the plug. So happy as I know these are signs of labor. I am really hoping within the next cpl days that Jack will come on his own. I look at all these birth stories and as much as I want my son to be in my arms now too, I will cling to these last cpl days that I can feel him inside me. I told my honey, it's like I don't have to share him with anyone right now, so this is special. Thank you so much to all you ladies that have befriended me, supported me, had faith in me!
