19-6-2008 - IT'S FINALLY OUT!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!!

First off I want to THANK ALL OF YOU for your well wishes and prayers-it has meant so much to me!!! The power of prayer is amazing! My surgery as some of you may know did not go as well as planned. I was in surgery for 9 hours that's right 9 hours!!! I broke the machine twice and they thought they were going to have to stop and order the part from another hospital and continue the next day luckily they were able to continue. There was a woman scheduled after me and they had to cancel her's because mine took so long-I FEEL SO BAD FOR HER!!! I have a broken rib from all the tugging and pulling they did on the right side-OUCH!!!! I have 4 incisions all around my belly the good thing is that they are all relatively small. My FIREBALL weighed 5 pounds and was HUGE-the Dr. said it's the biggest one that they have removed using the Da-Vinci Robot. Once I got out of surgery I started vomiting and having just had my belly pulled and tugged at for 9 hours did not feel good at all. I have a massive bruise that starts at my back and goes all over my belly-I feel like I have been kicked and beaten but I know it will get easier. I can't drive for 2 weeks and no lifting for 6 weeks. I am so HAPPY I did it and it's over!!!!!!! I am feeling better each day and hope to maybe go for a walk this Sunday if the weather is nice. I miss holding Gage but he has been home with me and my family and friends come over in shifts and have all been so amazing through this process. They sit beside me and hold Gage and I get to touch him and kiss him all over!!! He knows something is going on but has been such a good boy for everyone who has come over!!!! There is one person that I must take time to THANK and that's my wonderful SUPERHERO Husband Dean!!!! He has had to do everything and then some. He owns a restaurant and that in itself is like having another child. He has had to take on so much and hasn't complained one time. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such caring people!!!!!!

I'm so glad that you are home and doing well.. I thought about you while we down there. sorry your surgery took so long! brianna was about 4 hours and it was hard. I'm so glad your hubby is and friend and family are helping you out so much that is wounderful. you take care now and get plenty of rest :) huggs to you girl!

Glad everything went well, my mom had a 10 lb tumor removed back in April. I cant even imagine. Good luck with your recovery, you'll be playing with that little cutie again in no time.

Wow....You have sure been through alot the past year...your a great example of a strong women. Im glad you're feeling better and I hope you feel better real soon! I know you miss your quality fun time with Gage, but soon enough you'll be back to fun and games with him. Im soo proud of Dean...what a man!! You are truly blessed to have a wonderful family and great friend to support you through these bumpy times...take care girl....god bless you...wish you a fast recovery.

Wow, I am so thrilled to hear that it went well in the end! It sounds like a tough road to get there, but I am sure it will feel worth it when you are up and around. 5 lbs???? Mine was last measured at 17x25 cm. What the heck will it weigh? Anyway, I am so happy to hear your recovery is going well and I will continue to keep you in my prayers. Good luck!!
