12-4-2009 - Help YuckyMy mood while writing this blog:
Yucky

About a month ago I felt like I was coming down with a bladder infection and started flushing my system with cranberry juice and water and the symptoms went away and I had an appointment with my doctor after that and my urine was clean. Friday late afternoon I started feeling kind of yucky with some cramps while at my mom's house. We went home and I used the bathroom and of course, the burning was there again. I tried drinking cranberry juice and more water than normal again, but it didn't help none. Saturday the pain wasn't so bad until the night. I called my doctor's office and they don't have an answering service anymore. So, I called the hospital where I am going to deliver at and talked to a nurse on the L&D floor. She told me to take some Tylenol and try to tough it out until I could take it no longer or until Monday when my doctor would be in. Ugh. So, I finished coloring eggs with my kids and got everything ready for today and went to bed. I come a hair of getting dressed in the night and going to the ER but my youngest son started crying and complaining of his stomach hurting and feeling like he was going to puke. So, I decided against going so I could take care of him, because as you all know, when kids are sick they want mommy and nobody else not even daddy will do. I suffered all day today with it and I finally called our nearest urgent care center to see what time they closed and also called a pharmacy close to them. Both closed at 6 so I took off. Now I am on Macrobid for 7 days and of course am going to call my ob in the morning.

I have a question though. I am passing major blood in my urine. I mean (sorry tmi) chunks mixed with pus and sometimes just streaks. I haven't ever had that before when I have had uti's. Is this just a bad infection or something I should really be worried about? Thanks ahead of time for any answers.
