| 19-4-2009 - Doctor Visit | My mood while writing this blog:good |
On Friday my aunt and uncle came down from Michigan for a weekend visit and I also had a doctor's appointment that day. The baby's heartrate was 163 and I am measuring 17 cm so right on track. He said everything looked good and he wants to see me in 2 weeks so we can do our ultrasound and hopefully find out what the little booger is. He also said that we would sign papers for my tubal then as well. I want to come home from the hospital "fixed" is my word for it, I am done having babies unless it is God's will after I have my tubal.
Anyway, I kept my 2 oldest children home from school that day so they could spend time with the fam too and we ate lunch at Fazoli's after my appointment. And then we drove to Cumberland Falls, it was the first trip for my youngest son. He loved it. The river was quite high considering all the rain we have had recently and alot of the lookouts were closed due to high water. We drove down the road a little bit and then we parked the vehicle and hiked a 2 mile trail through rough terrain to another smaller waterfall. What in the heck was I thinking?!!! We had an 8 1/2, almost 7 and 3 year old in tow and a 4 month pregnant me. I am crazy. We did good. We didn't even have to stop much. I thought I would be sore the next day, but was okay. But when I woke up this morning I couldn't hardly move. LOL. But, part of it is my left foot. I don't know how I hurt it, but it has hurt for a little over a week. I think I need to get it xrayed to see if anything is broken. I had to wrap it this evening just so I could hobble around our house. And another trouble with our long walk. We had ticks on us when we got home. I checked all 3 of my kids and only found 1 on my youngest and it was already attache on his inner thigh. I got it off without any problems. I then found one on my oldest the next morning, attached to the top of his shoulder. I grabbed ahold of it just like I always do and pulled, but the stupid, nasty critter broke into 2 pieces with the head still in my son's shoulder. I have yet to get it out after lots of trying and crying. So tomorrow it will be a trip to the doctor for him to get it removed hopefully. I don't know if they will test him for Lyme disease. I did keep the body of the tick in a baggy so that they could see what they are dealing with. By looking at pics of them on the net I think it is a deer tick which are major carries of the disease. Wish me luck.
