11-5-2009 - Tired of being sick

My mood while writing this blog: sick

I have been sick for a week today and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I started with a severely sore throat last Monday. By Wednesday I couldn't breath through my nose and my face felt like it was going to explode because of the pressure. I had to cancel a dentist appointment on Thursday and instead took myself to the doctor. Usually when I have a sinus infection my family doctor will give me antibiotics, but this time she said that it was just starting out and that she would give me Sudafed and Benedryl to help dry things up. I have been taken them both since then, just not as much as she prescribed because they wipe me out, and am still having lots of drainage. I am hacking my head off and can't get a decent conversation out without having to pause to cough. What a pain. And to add to that, when I have peed myself more than once during once of my coughing fits. Ugh! I can't wait to feel better.

We had our daugther's birthday party on Saturday although her actual birthday was over 2 weeks ago. It went as well as expected with all the rain we have had. We normally have it outdoors, but had to have it indoors. I am ready for some nice weather to hang around so that we can get out of the house.
