| 25-5-2009 - My weekend | My mood while writing this blog:good |
I will start on Friday. My oldest 2 children came home from school and the plan was for us to get them packed up along with our youngest to go to my sister in laws for the night. What a welcome and much needed break even just for a night. My hubby and I went out to where my parents were staying at a Lake Cumberland for the weekend so that we would know how to get back the next day so that we could bring the kids out to spend some time there as well. It was nice to just be hubby and I as we never get time like that. The baby kept me awake ALL night kicking and moving, which was completely out of nowhere and she hasn't done it since like that. Saturday morning I think I was missing my kids, because I woke up at 6 and felt like I was ready for the day. I made myself go back to sleep until a little bit before 9 and got up and got stuff around to go away for the day. We went to get the kids and pick up my sister's little girl so she can go with us and head out for the almost 2 hour drive. We got a little taste on how it will be with 4 kids in our vehicle instead of 3. About the same, just a little louder. LOL. We stayed out by the lake and part of the river for about 5 or 6 hours and then decided we had better head home so we could get the kids in a bath and ready for bed. On Sunday, I stayed home with the kids while my hubby and his dad took a (disbabled) friend of ours whose wife recently left him fishing all day. They all had a blast and it got our friend's mind off of his life for a bit. And to end today, my oldest kids were back in school, I know stupid being the holiday, but they always have school on Memorial Day. My hubby normally leaves for work on Sunday night, but got to stay an extra day. Tonight when my oldest son asked if he could go to bed before time, he said that he didn't want any lovings and headed down the hall. He came back a few seconds later and said "Okay maybe just a hug". Gotta love it.
