My mood while writing this blog: Ok

11/21/07 - 14 weeks & 5 days

Hooray second trimester! :) At my last prenatal appointment my weight was better, I actually managed to drop a couple of pounds so my doc was pleased with that! We also found out that I have a marginal placenta previa. They don't forsee a problem during delivery since it doesn't appear to completely cover my cervix, but they will continue to watch it as the pregnancy progresses just to be sure.

My first trimester symptoms have left me for the most part. I still get sick occasionally, but it's definitely not every day anymore. I have more energy and the shortness of breath / rapid heartbeat have completely disappeared since I altered my diet. Crazy.

We have an appointment on December 8th (I'll be 17 weeks) for a 3D ultrasound where we'll find out the sex!!! It wasn't too expensive either! $159 for a 30 minute session with a DVD and 25 photos... Not bad at all. We can't wait to find out what we're having!

As for the last couple of weeks, I guess I haven't really been feeling too "pregnant", or at least I've been too pre-occupied to think about it! It's just that I'm too damn HORNY! I've always been a bit of a sex addict, but lately it's been really bad... I mean BAD. I can't ever get enough and it's all I think about. Poor Matt is probably getting tired of me trying to jump him every 30 minutes ALL DAY LONG. LOL Although, I guess if I could hand pick my pregnancy symptoms that one would probably be on the top of my list so I'm not really complaining. Hehehe... :)

12/14/07 - 18 weeks & 2 days

WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!! Exactly what we (and our entire extended family) were hoping for! We can't wait to meet our little daughter Bella Ann!

01/03/2008 - 21 weeks & 1 day

Hello all and HAPPY NEW YEAR! I do believe these next few weeks are supposed to be the most enjoyable weeks of pregnancy. I'm so happy to know that we're halfway there, but it's a little scary because I know it's all downhill from here! LOL We feel our little angel moving all day long, I'm rarely sick anymore and I do have more energy than I did (although nothing like I used to have before I got pregnant), but at the same time I already feel so big and uncomfortable!! It's kind of frightening to know that we have 19 more weeks to go during which I'll be getting considerably larger. I already have trouble breathing after I eat a full meal. Guess it's time to give that up! Heh.

Anyway, I go in for my... err.. 4th? ultrasound today. I have placenta previa, so they're doing another scan to see if it's moved away from my cervix *crosses fingers*... I really don't want a c-section since my bf can't take more than a day or two off work when the baby comes. That would leave me all alone with a 4 year old, a newborn & 2 dogs while I'm recovering from major surgery. Ugh. No thank you. Hopefully it won't be an issue. I'll keep you posted! :)

02/12/2008 - 26 weeks & 6 days

Our placenta previa issue is no more. Thankfully the placenta moved up enough to not be of concern to my doc so thank goodness for that! I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything looked good. Her heartbeat is still in the 150's, and my blood pressure is still perfect! My uterus is measuring a little bit small (at 26.5 weeks I was measuring 25.5) so they will be doing another ultrasound next Monday to check her growth and development. I'm actually pretty excited that I get to see her again! :)

The doctors say they are not concerned with my weight gain, so even though I've already blown past my *goal* of 180 by delivery, I guess it's fine. I lost 130 pounds in 8 months completely on my own 2 years ago so I'm sure I can handle 20-30 after this pregnancy is all said and done. ;)

Anyway, not much else is new. Hope you ladies are all feeling great and getting excited... Only 13 more weeks to go!!!

02/19/2008 - 27 weeks & 6 days

Just got back from a dating scan & our little baby girl is head down! Yea Bella! My uterus was measuring 2 weeks behind so they were afraid that she would be small, but she measured 2 pounds 8 ounces!!! And the ultrasound tech said she looks like she'll be really long! All in all we couldn't be happier, she said everything looked great and it looks like we'll be having a very healthy baby girl. We're so excited, we can't wait to meet Miss Bella Ann. :)
