03/14/2008 - 31 weeks & 2 days
8 1/2 weeks to go. I'm sure it will be here before we know it. I keep looking at my ticker and how many days we have left to wait. 61 days seems like such a long time, but then after seeing that I've been pregnant for 219 days now, well, I guess it won't be that long after all.
I had a prenatal visit on Monday, my blood pressure is still fabulous (114/62) and little Bella seems to be doing well. She's still in a head down position (YEA BELLA BEAN) and her heartrate is in the high 130's. I guess as we get closer to delivery the heart rate starts to come down? Well, at any rate, her doctor seemed pleased. I'll be going in for checkups every 2 weeks now (always a sign that you're getting close!) so my next appointment will be in 10 days! My weight is teetering on the edge of the 190's, can't say I'm pleased about that, but there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it. I'll maintain my weight for 3 weeks straight and then end up putting on 4-5 pounds overnight! It's a little shocking and I could easily get depressed about it, but I know that Bella's health is all that really matters. And, if my doctor isn't concerned then I guess I shouldn't be either. So far I've gained 7 pounds in the 3rd trimester. If I put on a pound a week right up to delivery I'll be waddling into the hospital at exactly 199 pounds. Heh. Hopefully I'll never have to see that dreaded 200 mark.
As for "pregnancy symptoms" I'm exhausted. Totally exhausted. I wake up at 7am every morning and by 1:00 I'm napping again. I've got that lovely sciatica since baby girl is head down and ready, but I'm trying to look at the pain as a positive. :) Sleeping is getting harder and harder. I wake up 1 or 2 times a night on average and whenever I do I immediately ache from sleeping in whatever position I managed to pass out in. Bella is active and she already feels so BIG in there! But, considering the fact that her weight will most likely double over these next 8 weeks I suppose I should enjoy what little room I have in there at the moment!
Matt and I are both just... READY. Hehe. We want her out! We want to kiss her little feet and see her little face!! Of course we want her to make it to 37 weeks, but I hope I don't end up pregnant and miserable at 41 1/2 weeks like I did with my first! Only time will tell!
