My mood while writing this blog: slightly relieved |
I had my appointment today to follow up on my bedrest and re check my cervix. I was beyond nervous even though it really seems like the meds have been decreasing the contractions. They may not go away completely but they seem less. I just kept picturing little preemie babies in my head all day which makes it worse.
And Im so happy to say that Im still only dilated to a 1 and 30% effaced! She said my cervix does not feel like a "laboring" cervix! No changes in 8 days! Ill take it! I know that every body is different and it doesnt mean Im entirely out of the woods but since Im doing everything I possibly can to keep this baby in it makes me feel better. Some people can breeze through pregnancy working a ton of hours but I think I was really pushing myself these past few months. I was actually picking up EXTRA 12 hour shifts! What was I thinking! That and having an infection really knocked me down.
And on another subject my hubby is so freakin cute. He has done SOOO much this past week. The house is clean, he's cooked, worked, done ALL of the house stuff-even the laundry (which is totally not his thing). So we were in the car and I was like "Honey I want to do something BIG for you because of all the stuff you are doing for me" and he said "You already are doing something big for me" and patted my belly. I know-SAPPY! But I thought it was cute.
Oh and thanks to all who gave me suggestions on stuff to do. Ive been embroidering and scrapbooking stuff and this week my sister and I are going to learn how to make jewelry. All is not bad!
Hope everyone is having a great week Im going to go lay down now

Monday, 17 Aug That's wonderful!! Try NOT to get too bored and don't you dare get addicted to any stupid soap opera's. LOL. Watch a Baby's Story on TLC...there are like 5 episodes on everyday. I LOVE that show and cry almost everytime I watch it. :) Keep us all updated. expecting-2b-patient (Cheryl) -
Monday, 17 Aug That's great girl! I am glad to hear that things have not changed, we'll take it right! Still take it easy, as I'm sure you know and hear it a lot! What a wonderful husband you DO have! That's great, and it's probably good for him to be able to do this stuff for you. Sometimes with men, I don't think we even give them a chance to do anything for us-- do you know what I mean. We as woman just do take it upon ourselfs to get things done without them. This process will only make you two stronger. Very well done, it's not too much longer now! lauraluvbug -
Monday, 17 Aug aww good job on the non changing cervix! isnt it funny... that i prayed for a change everytime ive gone to the docs .... that is so adorable what your husband said!!!! so true though! he must really understand how hard it is for you not to be able to do your normal things, like work etc.... ah well, jewelry making is SO fun by the way.... take care and stay closed cervix!! xajk326x -
Monday, 17 Aug I'm glad you are doing so well and have had no cervical changes in 8 days. Thats really good news!! I just had my Doctor appointment on Friday and was dialated about three centimeter; however, I'm dialated at the top and completely closed on the bottom with my membranes bulging. Did they happen to do a fetal fibronactin test on you?? I actually passed mine, which is great. Just do your best to hang in there....I'm sure the baby will be just fine and will come out when it is safe! Plus they say every day they are in there, their chances for survival go up. Take care and keep me updated!!!
