My mood while writing this blog: Relieved |
Hello my lovely pregnant lady friends! Hope everyone is doing good. Well, I had another appt today with my OB and Im still dilated to a 1!!! Im 50-60% effaced but she seems very hopeful that I will make it to my due date. I have been on modified bedrest for 3 weeks now and basically no changes. Plus this last week I actually did ALOT. I had a photoshoot on Wed. at my house, my DH mom came into town and we all went to dinner a few times and my baby shower was on Sunday! I was nervous I had done too much but nothing had changed so Im soooooo feeling relieved. Ill be 33 weeks on Wednesday and I cant believe the time is flying by. The contractions have really slowed down but Im still taking medication for them. I guess whatever Im doing is working because my LO is still in place. Its weird because she is head down and is at a station -2 right now but I look like I am still carrying really high. I can feel her move around really low but its been like that for weeks. Plus she is still kicking my ribs. Maybe she just doesnt have a lot of space because my torso is so short. Are any of you ladies feeling the baby really low? Like pubic area. I can actually cup her head in my hand (my OB showed me how to feel it) its the coolest thing. I do have a lot of pelvic pain but I have been battling that since I was 16 weeks along. Has anyone else been told a station the baby was at? I guess they really dont start checking the cervix until 35-36 weeks but I wasnt sure.
On another note I had my baby shower yesterday and it was great :) Lots of family and friends and just about everyone showed. We invited 50 and over 40 came. The shower basically was my friends and my moms side of the family. My hubbys mom came out and she was it from his side and my dads side of the family is very small and not close at all. We got a lot of things we registered for and only one duplicate item that we will have to return. I had 5 hostesses and they all went in on our travel system stroller and a few other things so that was very nice. We also had a diaper raffle and we got A TON of diapers. All different brands and sizes so I guess we can try them out and see which ones we like the best. We are super blessed. Ill post some pics here shortly. Hope everyone is having a great Monday and feeling well

Tuesday, 1 Sep Glad everything is slowing down and that your bedrest is working for you! Sounds like you had a great shower - our's was Sunday too. Lots of fun! I was told yesterday that I am at a -2 as well and feel the baby really low. Starting to get crampy contractions now and getting ready for the baby to come. Glad that you both are well:-) Pretty Britty -

Tuesday, 1 Sep Wow, I'm so glad you had such a fun shower and that your bedrest is helping!! I just had a doctor's visit and they said that I don't have any changes either, so they must know what they're doing to put us on all those meds! Anyway, keep enjoying your pregnancy and fill your days with happiness.... it's not much longer! expecting-2b-patient -
Tuesday, 1 Sep Good for you in that the little girl of yours is behaving and staying put! I'm glad that you were able to stay busy this weekend, I bet it was much needed! Now you can just sit back and watch hubby put all the baby items together, haha! What a wonderful turn out you had for the baby shower, I bet you got tons! I haven't felt my little guy low, although at times I'll get some pressure while sitting in my pelvic area, I don't know if it's him trying to get down there or not. But I know in a normal pregnancy they don't normally drop until 2-3 weeks before your due, at least for your first that is. That's so crazy that you're able to feel her head, so neat! baby bake oven -
Tuesday, 1 Sep I'm so glad to hear you're going to make it to your due date! I can feel the baby very low down too, but still get kicked in my ribs! But I swear those little hands are grabbing at something right at that crease between my thighs and pelvic bones... it's strange! Glad your baby shower went so well, that is awesome! Only a few more weeks to hang in there and then you wil get to hold that little one!! mamabear13 -
Monday, 31 Aug I totally know what you mean about the pubic bone! I swear it feels like her head is gonna just fall out! I especially feel it when I am sitting down (which I feel like a man cuz I have to spread my legs so far to sit, LOL.) I guess they don't really check your cervix this early unles you are having a lot of pain down there mixed with contractions. Glad you had a great baby shower, hope you are doing well, now GET SOME REST! Kick back and put your feet up! shelby85 -

Monday, 31 Aug Sounds like you have had an amazing week. It must have been nice for hubby to have his mom visit. Especially since it gave you an excuse to get out of the house. Your shower sounds amazing. You seem to be in much better spirits. Hope you continue to have good weeks full of great news.
