04-9-2009 - C-Section booked

My mood while writing this blog: Excited, nervous.

Well, I just got back from my consult for the C-Section which is booked for Friday Sept. 18th (The day I turn 39 weeks).

I have an ultrasound on the Monday of that week and the Thursday (Day before surgery is scheduled)...just to make sure she is still head up...If she has flipped...I obviously won't be needing the C-Section. :)

The doctor I saw today was really great, and he had me lay on the table and explained step by step to me and my bf about what would be going on and who would all be in the room and for what reason they would be there...And even the order of events, from the initial cuts to the stitching up at the end and all the possible things that can go wrong and what they do to prevent them, and what they do if they DO happen.

I feel alot more comfortable knowing what to expect (kind of) instead of going in blind as they say.

He said I'd need to be in the hospital for 3 days after the surgery, which isn't long at all in my opinion.

So, next week is all quiet except for my weekly check up with the OB....and then the week after is BABY TIME!

I can't wait!
