05-9-2009 - Back from hospital visit #2..lol

My mood while writing this blog:

Ok, so I did go to the hospital....

They established that I'm in labour...BUT the doctor who's on call for C-Sections is a total idiot...(her nickname is Dr.Death because she cut a baby's face during a c-section)....She made them give me two bags of saline solution through IV...to slow my contractions....And then asked if I wanted something for pain...to which I said no....So she gave me morphine via IV anyways to "SLOW MY LABOUR"

WTF?!

So she said I could go home....and come back if it gets worse...b/c I'm only dialted to one she says we will have lots of time to prepare for the C-Section...uhh...

I basically took that as...."I'm too busy today to be called in for surgery....so stop contracting until the other doctor is on call"...

The nurse was really nice, she told me to leave on all my bracelets, and only discharged me on a "pass"...so I'm still admitted as a paitient....She also left in my IV block so that if I go back tonight(which she said she fully expects) I will still have an open line to which they can administer meds ASAP.

Oi!!!

And yeah, still contracting regularly...just can't really feel the pain of them due to the morphine.

i would be so mad at the doctor for giving something i didn't want and i'm sure it's illegal, you have the right to refuse certain services. in a way though it's better she doesn't deliver your baby or you might have a baby with a cut face. i really hope things get better for you and you get a good doctor next time you go to l&d.

Wow, you are on your way! So lucky! I would request a different doctor. I would not let that woman near me with a scapel. How can she give you morphine? I would be so pissed. You're right, it sounds like she didn't want to deal with surgery and was trying to pass you on to someone else. Since when does Morphine slow contractions? Stupid moron.

Sounds like the doc did you a favor sending you home! If she is really that bad I wouldn't want her to treat me at all!! OH MY!!!! Well my prayers are with you! Good Luck.

OMG!! You have got to frickin kidding!! What a selfish B*tch!! That doc cold get into major trouble...especially for giving you morphine after you refused it! That is a HUGE medical error it is the patients right to refuse!! Lawsuit anyone?!?! Stay strong and stay focused on that bright light at the end of the tunnel!

What a horrible Dr I would be complaining. New dr please. She will be here before you know it! Maybe you can get a little rest till the morphine wears off!
