We went for our 1 week check up yesterday...(Harper was 8 days old yesterday)...
So they measured and weighed her...I was REALLY hoping they would tell me that she had gained back her weight...
She was 6 lbs 8 oz at birth...and as I had mention she had lost over 10% of her original birth weight soon after birth.
Today they told me she still only weighed 6 lbs...:(
She has grown 1/2 an inch which made me happy....And the doctor did mention that premature babies can take longer to get back up to their birth weight b/c their bodies are using the nutrition they get from milk to catch up developmentally...as well as weight wise.
So I'm trying to give my tiny girl as much milk as she desires...I just want her to grow! She's so little and it scares me b/c to me she is just so vulnerable to anything.
I'm being a typical worried mommy I know.

~Awww she is just too cute!!! I know it's hard but try not to worrie too much. She is perfect in everyway and she will gain weight in due time :-) Just sit back and know that you are blessed... Keep us updated on whats going on~

She is growing and you keep doing what you're doing. She's tiny but she's a fighter. Those are the most aggressive ones you know :-) Harper will surprise everyone.
