09-9-2008 - The date has been set

Hi Ladies, well just wanna let you guys know a little update on whats happening on my end. Yesturday I went to the doctor, and discovered from a vaginal that I was 2 cm dilated, and my cervix very ready for labour. After the vaginal was conducted, my doctor did an ultrasound, where she established that my placenta was very spotty, and in fact, it was calcifying (deteriating). This caused a little concern to her, as she noticed my little man wasnt getting as much nutrients as he should, and had not grown much since the last time I was there. After seeing this, she made a decision to go ahead and induce me on Thursday at 8pm... so it looks like if all goes well I will be a mummy by friday this week. I was at first a bit paniciky, but the doc told me that he was fine, and nothing to worry about. She also said that his lungs were looking great and his breathing pratices were very good. So ladies, i will definately keep u all in the loop, and let you know how it all goes. Love to all!
