My mood while writing this blog: Stressed... |
Okay so hubby and I did some stuff around the house, including me sitting on my butt and going through stuff, not any heavy lifting or any over doing it in my opinion, guess I was wrong! Because after I while I got up to go pee and got a lot of dark red blood when I wiped followed by a lot of brown coffee colored discharge. So I called my doctor's office since this was the second time in a week that I had spotting. They told me to go to emergency, to which my hubby said screw that you should have a nap and see if it continues. I pretty much told him where to go and called L&D and they told me to come in. Today was the first day I hadn't felt Peyton move at all to so I was super worried. Hubby and I cuddled and he told me it was going to be okay. And then we went in they couldn't find the heart beat and looked for quite a while, two different nurses, that made me nervous. So they called the Dr in, Dr. Murdoc is the one everyone else reports to so I felt confident about seeing him. He came in, did an ultrasound, and there was Peyton sleeping, heart beating away. Then he checked my cervix, said it was long and closed and the cerclage felt fine. But he said I need to take it really easy now, no walks, not even around the block, which would also mean no grocery shopping or anything! Ugh, I am allowed to stay in the house, sit up and watch tv, walk to the washroom ect. So he pretty much said, you don't have to stay in bed all day but I recommend it. Lovely but whatever gets Peyton close to full term will be worth it. Oh and as soon at I was done seeing the doctor, guess who decided to start kicking like crazy? Also I got my flu shot yesterday and the clinic is now seeing me every two weeks and the specialist once a month because of the spotting. I am so nervous. What would cause all of this coffee colored stuff? Your opinions are appreciated.

Tuesday, 23 Nov I am just so thankful that everything is okay. So no more doing anything. I know it will be frustrating, but you just stay put in bed now. Only move when absolutely necessary. I know it is not how we would like it to be for you, being confined to your bed, but I also know that you will do whatever it takes to hold Peyton in your arms somewhere in the 3rd trimester. Look after yourselves *hug* - L RainbowRach -

Friday, 19 Nov So glad you are both ok!! That had to of been so scary...but I agree with j.Alexander it could be the cerclage or you might have had some reaction to the flu shot. Jalex10 -
Friday, 19 Nov :) thanks for saying dont worry in your title! The coffee color means its old blood, maybe the cerclage pulls on your cervix every now and then and causes some bleeding.. or maybe its old blood from when they first put it in that finally worked its way out? But anywho I'm glad to hear all is well. Sorry about the bed rest tho! I would go mad! elm76 -

Friday, 19 Nov Glad you two are doing fine! I had alot of spotting and even a heavy period like flow when i was 17-19wks pg with riley. they kept saying it was due to an irritated uterus, cause they was no blood from my actual cervix (or something along those lines.) Mum2anAngel -
