Woooo hooo!!! So here's the whole story :D
We got to the center about 10 minutes early, cuz my mom wanted us to stop into her office first (she works as an RN at the center I go to for my OB appts.) We let her know we were there, and then went to check in, and sat down and waited. My mom poked her head out a couple times to see if we were still there, and told Kamil to come get her when we were going back. The OB tech, Robin, came out and let me know she was running a little behind because of the bad weather, and a couple people had shown up late. I told her it was fine, I had to wait for my bladder to get full, anyway. She laughed and walked back into the u/s room. About 20 mins. later she came out and said she'd be ready for me in a minute. So I had Kamil go get my mom, and the three of us went into the room. I told her that I had to be honest, and that I was actually really nervous. She laughed and asked why, and I told her because I'm just paranoid that she's gonna tell me something I don't want to hear, and that there won't be anything on the screen :P My mom and her laughed, and Kamil just rolled his eyes and patted my belly, saying there was still a baby in there :) I laid down and she put the wonderfully warm gel on my belly, and stuck the wand on it. As soon as she did, my baby popped up there :D She was kicking and waving her arms all over the place!! I had the biggest grin on my face, and I looked over at Kamil and my mom, and both of them were grinning, so focused on the u/s screen. Robin (the tech) was so awesome. She was taking measurments of the baby's head, and was telling us what we were looking at. She even taped the whole thing for us :D The baby was in the head down position, and her head was kind of back, so we weren't able to see her face that clearly right then. Robin moved the wand around and just kind of pointed out everything before she started measuring. She tried to look between baby's legs, but baby was being bashful :) She had her legs crossed in front of her. So Robin went on to measure everything, and it's like she's a few days bigger than what she's supposed to be. It said my due date is 5-21 instead of 5-26. But since they go by the very first u/s measurement and due date, they keep it there. Which is fine. Baby is just a little bigger. Which means she's actually growing! And I'm eating enough! Robin measured her heartrate, and then we were able to hear it :D My mom was cheesin it the whole time :P Baby's heart was beating 139 beats per minute. (Is it normal, as the baby grows in the uterus, for the heartrate to kind of drop? First u/s was 163 bpm, and my last ob appt it was at 153bpm. I'm sure it's normal?) Anyway, she took her measurements, and then put on the color to look at the bloodflow of the cord. That was kinda cool. I got to see how the cord divides into 2 different arteries once it's inside the baby's bellybutton. Robin would occasionally jiggle the wand on my belly over the baby to get her to move her head up and around so we could get a good look at her face. Evenutally she moved up and we got some really good facial shots :D It looks as if she'll have a big bottom lip like her mommy!! :) We finally got around to her legs again, and she had her hand in between :P Robin jiggled the wand again, and she spread her legs wide open! You could clearly see that she was a girl :D I was soooo excited! I had a single tear roll down my cheek :P Kamil was up against the bed during the whole thing, until she announced we were having a girl, then he just kinda slouched back. ahaha. I think he was a little disappointed. He really wanted a boy! But I think he's more excited now. He went to work later and told everybody "we're having a girl! We're having a girl!!" :) She's gonna be a daddy's girl. I can already tell! Well, Robin finally finished, and the last shot she got was the baby waving to us, and then she kind of put her hand on her forehead like a dramatic stage faint. It was so cute!! She let me go pee, then gave us some pictures and our video :D I've already watched it once, and I'm about to again! My whole family is really excited. I thought Kamil's mom was gonna start crying on the phone when I told her. She yelled out to her whole restaurant "IT's a girl!!". So I think she was a little excited :P I went and exchanged this baby boy outfit I accidentally got, for a little girl outfit. So it's my first official "girl" outfit! It's adorable. Lime green and purple :D Needless to say, I'm ecstatic to be carrying a lil princess, and I cannot wait to meet her!
