Happy 4th of July!!

Today is the first one for Alyvia. Obviously. I've got a cute little festive dress for her. It's white and has red and blue stars all over it. She'll get to wear it tonight for the fireworks, if we can find any.

We'll be heading for Chicago to see Kamil's parents for the weekend, once he gets out of work at 5. I'm kind of excited for that. None of his family has seen Lyvi yet! You'd think his parents would have dropped what they were doing and came to see her once she was born, but nope. They said they "just couldn't" find anybody to cover for them at the restaurant they own. PISH POSH! If it were me, I would have made the 3 hour drive in about an hour and a half! But on the other hand, I'm kind of dreading it. Not his parents or brother meeting her so much as his aunt, her husband, and kids. I CANNOT stand any of them. Well ok.. the 2 yr old is cool, and so is the husband lol. But seriously. I just DO NOT like them. The oldest 2 boys are 11 and 14, and they think they're about 18 and 21, the way they act. They swear, and they talk about things they shouldn't be. They have absolutely NO manners. Same for Usia, his aunt. And I don't want them messing with my baby, and getting up in her face. BLAH!! I told Kamil that once we get into Illinois, we ARE finding fireworks, and we WILL go to them. Just the 3 of us. Maybe his brother and his gf, but nobody else. I just want family time. We've got all weekend for him to show off his daughter; so this mini holiday will be for just us.

Anyway. Alyvia is growing up crazy fast. She still isn't sleeping through the night, but it's getting a little better. I usually only have to feed her once, before we're up for the day. I had us both in bed a little before 1am this morning, and she really thought it was play time. She didn't wanna lay there and fall asleep. She wanted me to hold her out infront of me, and bounce her and rock her and talk to her and make funny faces at her and make her laugh. The whole time, Kamil was snoring away next to me, and didn't wake up when she started to scream. *shakes fist* Ahh well, I got her to go to sleep finally, and held her off with her binkie most of the night, until I fed her about 5:45 this morning, then I just went downstairs and put her in her swing so she was upright and wouldn't spit up, and I slept on the couch. We woke up about 9am, and have been up since! I'm supposed to be cleaning the house right now, but I'm lazy and don't feel like it. I wanna just curl up on the couch again and fall asleep. Maybe I will.. But Lyvi is wide awake, so I doubt she'll like the idea!
