| 23-2-2010 - Silly Stats | My mood while writing this blog:Wacky |
I have recently had too much time on my hands and since I have all this data from my cycles I created some stats. Thought I would share them:
We are in our 32nd cycle of TTC.
We have actively been TTC for 14 out of the 31 and fell pregnant twice. That is a 14% success rate.
The 14 cycles consisted out of 3 separate stints.
1st - tried for 4 cycles before conceiving = 25% success
2nd - tried for 9 cycles before conceiving = 11% success
3rd - trying for 1 cycle .... time will tell
Of the remaining 18 cycles, we were not TTC and actively preventing for 14 cycles due to recovering from losses and tests. I fell pregnant once within 3 cycles of NOT trying to fall pregnant. That is a 33% success rate (if falling pregnant without trying is a success - LOL)
The other 3 remaining cycles we were not TTC but were not preventing and fell pregnant as well. That is another 33% success rate.
So statistically (silly or not) we have a much better success rate when we are NOT TTC. Well I hate that my own stats on TTC is telling me what I already knew and what everyone keeps telling us. LOL. It also underlined the reason why I did not want to try on treatments out of fear of how long it will take and the strain that comes with that.
However, I have learned a lot from the 2nd try of 9 cycles. That was the one where I tracked my cycles and obsessed and the moment I stopped, I fell pregnant within 2 cycles. It is for that reason that I am hell bend on keeping this as normal as possible now.
Other interesting stats, I have been pregnant for 28 weeks in total, all in the 1st trimester. With my next successful pregnancy I would have had 40 weeks in the 1st trimester and a total of 68 weeks pregnancy to hold our first child in our arms.
Well that is all the silly stats I have for now. Thank goodness they are now out of my head.
