| 27-9-2009 - 29 Weeks | My mood while writing this blog:Ok |
Yesterday my husband told me he thought I was going to be a great Mum. I'm sure there are better compliments in the world but at this moment I can't think of one.
Having said that though, we had the most amazing dust storm last week that dumped red sand all over the East of Australia. I only had a small window open but there is a fine layer of dust everywhere, I cleaned up a bit but the best housewife in the world I am definitely not!!
I really wish I had a window in my tummy so that I could see exactly which parts of Pokey are making my tummy ripple and poke out at odd angles. The nickname we gave our bub has certainly turned out to be true because I get poked and prodded all the time. Much as I love the little munchkin moving around inside of me I really can't wait to be able to give him or her a real cuddle.
I still have another 5 weeks to go before I have my scan to see if my placenta has moved up or not. Most of me loves the thought of a natural birth but the convenience of having a set date for a caesar is so tempting.
It has finally dawned on Paul that we are going to be parents in 11 weeks so he is starting to get himself sorted. He's organised for a whole lot of friends to come over to our place while the girls are at my sister-in-law's for my shower on the 10th. While we are having a nice party oohing and aahing over baby stuff the boys will be sanding back all our dark wooden icky window frames and painting them white. Then I just need to order some blinds and we'll be all set for the baby's arrival.
It really is too exciting for words!
