01-12-2008 - 4 Days over and pissed off!!

My mood while writing this blog:
Angry and upset

Well im now 4 days over due and im so pissed off about it!

I had a midwife appointment this morning and was expecting to have a stretch and sweep done as my doctor said they would do with my pelvis separating more and more and me been in agony and on crutches. but no she tells me they dont do them on anyone until your 41 weeks no matter what your health and medical problems are!! so i wont be having one until friday when i will be 41 weeks + 1 day. and then they wont induce me until im 2 weeks over! which will be around the 11th dec i was due the 27th november!

Iv read everywhere about SPD that i should have been getting induced at around 38 weeks because the baby can damage my pelvis more and lead to a big operation im fuming and so upset that they dont give a shit where i live. i never see the same midwife they just dont care.

theres people on here who have nothing wrong with them who get induced after a few days over or a week, i wish i had there doctors!

i was also measuring a week ahead a few weeks ago so by the time i have this baby i will be 43 weeks pregnant. i know im going to end up with a c-section because of my pelvis and i really dont want that.

Sorry to rant on and on but im just so upset that something will happen to my baby or my pelvis will snap!

Well i hope all the new mummys are enjoying there babys and your all well! hopefully this drama today and her prodding my belly about will send me into labour soon! fingers crossed!

Hiya, just reading your blog..why on earth did they make you wait that long? My friend was 3 days overdue and they induced her on the 3rd day!! You little girl is pure gorgeous!! xxx

I'm sorry you are in so much pain. I can't believe your dr didn't induce you yet. Hopefully you'll go into labor any minute!

hey i rad that u are 4 days over and they wont induce u until u are 42 weeks...
my friend had her baby at 42 weeks bc her doctor wouldnt induce her until then. but her baby came out 9lbs 11oz.... I would tell them that u want to be induced that the baby has been in there long enough... u might have a big baby.... put your foot down and tell them to induce you

Hi, I can't believe they won't give you a sweep until Fri, I guess I was lucky and the doc gave me one 2 days overdue, and I've got my induction date already, I suppose if I wasn't seeing the consulant at the hosp I would be in the same boat as you as my midwife is useless.
Your GP sounds more understanding from previous blogs try and see if its and option for him to do the sweep for you even if he can't he might be able to speak to someone to get things moving sooner for you as your in so much pain.
Don't panic too much about labour and the SPD my mates wife gave birth naturally without any issues and almost 2 weeks overdue and yours sounds a severe as hers.
Have they said how much they guess your little one will weigh?
I hope you get some relief soon, I'm still hoping to go natural but don't think the sweep worked for me as nothing happened except poss lost my plug.
You've got to be carrying a boy as its only men that can cause us this many problems.
