19-1-2009 - 6 Weeks old....

My mood while writing this blog: happy

Well i cant believe its been 6 weeks already since i gave birth to my beautiful daughter Poppy Ella Rae.. its gone so fast! Poppy is doing great, she turned 6 weeks yesterday and got weighed today she now weighs 12lb! and is a proper chunky monkey! she looks so healthy and chubby! shes in 0-3 months clothes and it probably wont be long before shes out of them! she was 8lb 9oz at birth though so iv never felt like iv had a tiny baby! shes always been big!

At first she had her night and day mixed up and was awake alnight and sleeping alday but for the last week she has slept right through the night giving me 7 or 8 hours sleep! im so pleased and proud of her! she will still have the odd bad night but lets hope she keeps sleeping right through!

shes was taking aroung 6oz every 3 to 4 hours through the day and on the hungrier babies milk too! but now shes gone back down to around 4 to 5 oz the health visitor said thats fine and to put her back on the birth milk no.1 as shes been so windy lately and struggling to eat as her bellys so bad and shes in pain, i didnt really want to put her on it but someone advised me, i didnt know it gave them bad wind and belly ache so she will be starting her new milk tomorrow!

we think shes starting teething early to and shes always biting the teet on her bottle and her dummy and having alot of spit coming out of her mouth the health visitor said she could be! poor baby its to much to take at 6 weeks old!

I cant believe how much i love her shes going to have me and ashley wrapped around her little finger, i couldnt imagine life without her now, she likes her gym mat and to play in her cot while im cleaning shes also lost alot of her hair i think thats because her head has grown so its spread out! bless her..

I am feeling ok and still getting over the birth! my pelvis is a bit better but that will take time, i just wish i felt back to my old self, i feel so fat spotty and disgusting! suppose it will take time though its only been 6 weeks!
