02-3-2009 - Poppy Ella Rae 12 Week update and pics xx

My mood while writing this blog: proud

12 Weeks already! time is flying by!

Poppy is doing great shes amazing and i couldnt ask for a better baby.. She hasnt been weighed since 9 weeks and she was nearly 14lb! a stone! shes a little fatty and im hoping to get her weighed next week when she has her 2nd lot of injectons. im thinking at least 16lb now!

Shes still sleeping right through on the night i bath her around 7-8pm has a last bottle 8-9pm then bed and sleeps until 7-8am! shes brilliant! giving me around 10 full hours a night i couldnt ask for a better baby! me and her daddy usually have to wake her up before her dad goes to work and she wakes up smiling and cooing.

I now make her 7oz bottles and she usually takes around 5-6oz every 3 hours if were in house but if where out for the day she will go 5-6 hours. then around 10 hours without one through the night. iv also started her on baby rice as shes a big girl! and doesnt seem to be very filled with her bottles anymore i started off giving her it with her first bottle in a morning and at dinner the first couple days were fine but now shes not having any of it and really kicks off for her bottle when i put baby rice in her mouth and doesnt seem to like it much! so not sure what to do?! been giving her it with her bottle because i think you can be thirsty when eating or when you wake up but then she just wants her bottle all the time so any advice would be great!

I still havent been out or drank since i had her i used to be out all the time so going a full year without alcohol i thought would be hard bit im really not that bothered, ashley keeps telling me we need to have a saturday night out together itl do us good but i cant bare to be apart from her she hasnt been apart from me since she was born so its going to be so hard and i feel like crying everytime i think of it, i trust my mum and dad with her 100% but i just dont want to be apart from her! oh well i know im going to have to sometime!

Poppy has now started to giggle too! its a really funny loud giggle and she will do it when we kiss her neck or blow on her belly its really funny! shes also picking everything up now and directly puts it to her mouth! im going to have to watch her with everything soon!

As for me im doing ok slowly getting back to my old self but things are taking longer then i thought they would, i still feel strange? maybe because after giving birth your body never feels the same again i think the trauma of birth has just left my body in a bit of shock! plus i put on 3 stone when i was pregnant and iv still got over a stone to lose! that has to be gone before summer! i cant exercise because my pelvis is still quite bad so finding it hard to lose the extra stone!

i cant believe how much i love Poppy Ella Rae i couldnt ask for a more perfect princess and i feel so lucky!
