hello all you lovely ladies! hope everyone is well!
well Poppy turned 9 months yesterday! time is going to fast! shes doing great shes into everything and so chatty! she can say mama, dada, grandad and car! and when she sees pictures of herself she says aaaawww baba! haha. she weighs 21lb 2oz she still cant crawl but its early days and i actually walked before i crawled at 10 months so im thinking shes taking after me! ha. she dances alot which is funny! and sings to her teddies!
shes not doing too good with food she will only eat the 4month jars and sometimes cant even eat the full jar she just cant stand bits or solids! iv tried everything and dont really no what to do so any advice would be great!
shes just amazing i love her so much!!
as for me i still go to physio every 2 weeks for my pelvis which most of you will know happened through pregnancy and got worse coz of the labour i had, they said theres still no muscle in it and its not really getting better it hurts so much when its really bad and im in agony sometimes when i pick poppy up so i was petrified of going back to work as im a hairdresser so im on my feet all day i had my first day back two weeks ago today and was in agony but the next time it was fine and thats when i was most busiest! i think standing might be strengthening it abit hopefully even though it still hurts its not as bad as i thought it would be so fingers crossed! i just work two days a week and my mum has her on them days as theres her days off!
ill try and get some more pics on of poppy when i can but internet hasnt been good for a while now!
hope ur all well keep intouch! xxxx

Monday, 21 Sep hey, it sounds like Poppies doin great! Robyns not crawling yet either, well at least not forwards anyway!! Shes 10 months now & i defo think she'll walk first, iv been told that a lot of babies dont crawl at all, so i wouldnt worry about it 2 much. We always give Robyn a bit of what were eating & yeh it is really messy but shes doin great with her food so i would defo give finger foods a go. Robyns now on stage 3 jars & loves lumps & i think the finger foods have defo helped her with this. I hope ur pelvis gets better soon for u xxx 2012bean(Yellow) -
Wednesday, 9 Sep Hi glad to hear things are going well. How is Poppy with finger food? also have you tried her on home made puree, it tends to have more texture than shop brough stuff to get her used to different textures then try and make it thicker after a few weeks. Most babies gag when there food becomes lumpier it teaches them to learn to chew there food, obviously you don't want them to throw up though, also when she has food in her mouth mime chewing to her they do copy you in the end and i would suggest just doing it in private or people might think your going mad. Does she have food off your plate, I break a bit off for Ryan if he's allowed what we're eating even if they lick it and drop it on the floor it gets them used to new textures and tastes. One last thing on the subject its very messy but sit her in the highchair with a waterproof mat underneath (and prob just a nappy) and put her food in a bowl or on the tray and let her put her hands in it then if she's anything like ryan the hands will go in the mouth so she gets used to what she's eating keep some aside so you can spoon it to her aswell. Try not to get too stressed in front of her about her feeding habits this will prob stress her out to and she'll associate stress with food................. who said you couldn't learn anything from television.............sorry to rattle on about feeding hope something helps............................................. don't worry about poppy not crawling girls are more advanced verbaly and mentally and boys are more active, for example Ryan crawls and walks round the furntiure but the extent of his lanuagage (sp) skills is mama, baba and a and has only just realised that the baby in the mirror is him he still gives himself a right good snog in the mirror though guess he's going to be vain. Hope to see photos soon xx hollie4liam -
Tuesday, 8 Sep hiya, have missed you on here. is hard work when you are back at work to find a spare minute-i hope you working starts to strengthen your muscles back up and makes you feel better. poppy seems to be doing great. oakley takes steps on his own now-but he is just nuts-lol! my best friends baby is 1 and has just started crawling, so i wouldn't worry bout poppy, they all get to different stages at different times. oakley wasn't too interested in the next stages of food so i started making his cereals and porridge a little lumpy so he would get used to things not being so liquidy, he is brilliant on them now. look out for 'ellas kitchen' pouches in supermarkets as thats wat got oakley onto the next stage.hope to hear from you soon-people are always talking in the babies section if you want to join us. take care, hollie. x
