28-8-2009 - probaly last update before Nate is here!!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy, excited, overwhelmed and nervous

Well this is it, the last update before Nate is here! I can't believe by this time tomorrow he will be here.

Last night I was nesting in a way, I got my 5 year olds school bag done and wrote his name on all his shoes, and just was cleaning like crazy, but I was still really tired the night before I never had that good of a sleep. I would say around 1:30 am I feel asleep to awake at 3:00 am to my water breaking!!! It was gushing out enough for me to wake up I thought I peed myself, lol. I woke up Jesse and he didn't believe me until he turned on the light! Geez he got dressed and ready before I even got out of bed I thought he was going to the hospital without me.

I was not having bad contractions at all, but I wanted to make sure that it was my water that broke. I got to the hospital at 4 am and they hooked me up to mashines they never wanted to check my cervix since I wasn't contracting, but the did a swab on me and it turned black, and my pee sample had protine in it they think from the water breaking!.

My doctor finally showed up at 8 am and see took a sample of the fluid and confirmed that it was my water. But I wasn't contracting very much, so she gave me three choices, she said she could induce me right then and there, go home to see if it would start on its own or for sure be induced tomorrow, well I of course wanted to come home right away, see if they start, nothing too bad yet hopefully later!! I got a few hours sleep and now I have a burst of energy. Getting last minute things done!

So hopefully next time I write, it will be the birth story, I am so excited but very nervous, this is new to me with my boys both went 2 days before their due dates first labor was 17 hrs then last labor was 2 1/2 hours, they had to break my water both times.
