Finally got a chance to write Nathaniel's birth story!! Kinda long understand if you all don't read it!!

Congrats to all of you who has had their little ones, and tons of baby dust for those who are waiting, it is worth it I promise!!

Nathaniel's Birth story is kinda funny because at 32 weeks I went into preterm labour with him and I was in the hospital for 3 days and got the contractions to stop. Thank goodness they did and he hung on till 38 weeks 3 days!! My water broke at 3:00am on Friday, August 28th, 2009. When I woke up Jesse to tell him he did not believe me, lol until he turned on the light, he got dressed before I even got out of bed, lol. We got to the hospital at about 4 ish and they checked me and it was indeed my water, I stayed at the hospital till 8 am and my doctor gave me a few choices, to be induced that morning, to go home and rest and see if it starts on its own or come back the next morning, well I went home nothing happend which was great because I got to organize and prepare more, I went to the hospital for 8 am on Saturday, and I was super nervous about being induced because I didn't know what to expect, and I heard it could be more intense then going natural. I never had a choice it needed to be done for the safety of Nathaniel since his waters were broke for over 24 hours. So I had to get the IV one was the inducing drug, and the other was penicillin since the waters were broke for so long. It took up to 20 mg for the contractions to start, it was about 3 mins apart for about an hour, this was around 12 pm they checked me then I was 2 cm 75% effaced and he was at minus 1 station. I was like OMG if this is not active labour then I am in for some pain. I went against the epidural and any other drugs. finally at about 1:30 pm I went into active labour the checked me I was at 4 cm 75 % effaced still and he was at 0 station my contractions were 1 min apart and they seemed to last forever. during my labour I had to use the washroom must have been every 20 mins. I had two wonderful nurses and Jesse in the room with me, no one could talk to me I just sat up in bed and kinda drifted in to my own world trying to breath through every contractions focusing telling myself this pain is all normal. At about 3 pm I got checked again they said I was 4 - 5 cms and I was getting kinda overwelmed by the pain I remember telling the nurse earlier that I didn't want the epidural becuase it never worked for me the first time, and I started menisioning what does it feel like to have the epidural done the right way, and she distracted me saying that it was all normal for me to ask for pain meds whan you know it is almost time, I said I need to go pee again, I went and by the time I got out of the bathroom I almost fell to the floor in pain they had to help me into bed, she checked me and I was 9 cm, I still can't belive it took not even 10 mins to go from 5 to 10 cm. She called the doctor and they got ready. I remeber saying he is coming, and pulling my leg up and pushing with every contraction. It took about 6 pushes and he was out!! Nathaniel was born on August 29th, 2009 at 3:14 pm, and he is perfect!! It was the most painful labour to date, I never had any drugs, but I would do it again!!
