My mood while writing this blog: Weary |
Went in to see my Dr today (GP) and due to extreme dizziness, heart palpitations, shortness of breath and seeing colors and floaters in my eyes I was taken off work for a week and started on a new beta blocker that can be used in pregnancy. Now I have to get in to see my cardiologist. I had these issues in the past, and they had not reared their ugly head for quite some time, but wow. I can barely function when my heart starts throwing so many PVC's. Work is far from happy about my week off orders, especially since I was just off on vacation due to my son's daycare provider being on vacation....sigh. My cardiologist had informed me that I needed to be seen prior to becoming pregnant....but it was not exactly thought about long enough to make dr appts. Frustrated and feeling horrible. At least its not nausea yet!!!

Tuesday, 26 Jun That stinks! I also have PVCs. I don't get them extremely often, but have been noticing them more lately due to a big move, stress, lack of sleep, and being constantly dehydrated from running around all the time. I saw a cardiologist to get it confirmed and he told me they're not paired/multiform, so not dangerous at all (most of them aren't anyway, it's extremely rare for anything to happen...which I'm sure you know). They are more annoying when you can feel them, that's all. I don't get the symptoms you do though, so I would definitely follow up as you are because of the dizziness, etc. When I get mine I just feel the flutter and I automatically cough because it takes your breath away for a tiny second. Have you thought about ablation? Obviously not now since you're pregnant, but after the baby is born? I know several people who had it done, no complications, and success (no more PVCs)!
