29-5-2009 - A little bit ouchy - advice please

Hi Ladies

A very quick question. Have you ever had a strange sensation, its like someone is carrying out a smear on me. Its a discomfort near my cervix on the inside, it feels like a twisting/pulling type feeling. I am assuming Little Miss Emily has something to do with it lol, but I cant work out what she is doing or what it could be. Its on the edge of painful.

That would be miss emily having a little fiddle with ur cervix!!! its an awful feeling, and it seems to be that once they have "found" that lil punching bag, they tend to continue to play...sorry hun :) x0x

I had this too hun - it was babies head pressing down on the cervix and every now and then it would make me jump.... would love to say it gets better but it doesn't... sawwwry x

Hi there, I too used to have a funny feeling/uncomfortable sensation down below with Grace. Sometimes it felt like i was gonna pee myself or my waters were going to break. Also had a undescribable pain down below that used to come and go. I think it is little miss just finding new spots to be in plus shes getting bigger now. If you do get worried or it gets too painful then please phone your midwife. Take care and enjoy the 4d scan tomorrow it really is so lovely take a tissue! xx

I have a shooting pain, almost like a runners cramp in my right side and feel pressure on my cervix - almost how you are describing. I wonder what it is....after I layed down it went away. But I had it all day at work.

I have been having a weird sensation for the past week. Feels like i've forgotten to remove a tampon and its got too big and uncomfortable, which is making my vagina feel swollen inside and uncomfortable.... sorry to be crude! Is that what you mean?
Anyhows spoke to the midwife about it yesterday and she said it is increased blood flow to the area which is causing the feeling and can also cause pain and throbing. Hope this helps

Hiya hun im sorry to hear about the discomfort your feeling! I haven't had that so im sorry i cannot help :( I hope it goes away soon none of us like smear tests so i wouldn't like that feeling of one either!
I am soooooo excited to about your 4D scan tomorrow and cannot wait until you show us the pics!! Its by far the most amazing thing we did in this pregnancy and to have a glimpse of how he looks is priceless he is on display on our fireplace and i look at it all the time and dream of the day i can kiss that lovely face off lol! And everyone that comes and see's them are totally amazed! Soo enjoy! you will not be dissapointed woop! lots of love make sure you get some sleep mrs! love steph x x x

Hi Rach I think its perfectly normal I get it from time to time but it dont last ,cant wait to see your 4d pics you will love it we were totally amazed watching our little princess moving around inside me ,so weird what they can do now but so good ,take care and enjoy it as Im sure you will do .xxx

I really dont know about that one. I was feeling alot of pressure down there the other day. It almost felt like I had just inserted a tampon, like there was something in there. I'm just guessing he was laying weird. Good luck. LEt me know

You know what? I've been having what feels like cervical pain too. It will come and go, but last Saturday it was oh sooo bad, I couldn't do anything. I remember feeling like that around week 14 and mentioned it to my midwife. I told her it felt like my cervix was throbbing and painful. She told me it was round ligament pain. IDK... but you are a lot further along then me! My friend it 27 weeks and around 25 weeks her boy was sideways (right to left) and butt down. It was putting so much pressure on her cervix and vagina what it swelled and hurt her so badly. I bet it's just the way she's sitting or whatever... but if it gets too bad call your midwife!
