Hi all

9 weeks 5 days to go & only 34.5 days of work left!!!! wootwoot!!!

I hope you had wonderful weekends.

Mine was good, Steve and I got lots of job done around the house (well mainly Steve) but I managed to do lots of organising and I steam cleaned all of the kitchen sat in my camping chair!! hehe it looks lovely and shiny :) I also rearranged all of Emilys stuff, I am sure I will redo it over and over before she arrives lol.

We have all of our weekends until 24th July taken up now with family visits, weekends away, a wedding and a graduation to attend, so we took the opportunity to concentrate on the house. Although I have the cleaning bug really bad so I am sure I will be doing a little each night. I am paying for being busy this weekend, my SPD is playing up and my back is very sore. This weekend coming we FINALLY go and get our pram (travel system) I cannot wait!!!!!

My sister is doing great. She is still really sore, but back on her feet and doing great. We had a long chat earlier, she went into a bit too much detail about the labour (ouch) for my liking! So, it turns out that the docs think the baby was quite overdue. My sisters baby was not planned and her cycles are crazy all over the place so she never really knew when she conceived so the due date was more of an estimate that normal. It turns out the doc believes the baby was around two weeks overdue, which explains the weight! Here is a picture of my sisters chunky monkey, they have named her Kaylea Aurora. My sis gave me permission to post the pic :)



CUTE!!! We are going to visit them on Sunday, cant wait for a cuddle!!!

I had my 30 week appointment with the midwife today. Blood pressure was 127/71, urine was clear of protein, weight gain is 12lbs in total (starting to go up quickly now!). Emily-Roses heartbeat was strong and ranging from 142 to 165 as she was wriggling around all over the place :) and I am now measuring three weeks ahead. I asked the midwife if thats a concern, she said not to worry. I have another scan on 24th June, so they will measure Emily then, if she is measuring big they will work out a plan with me. Goodness, I have visions of trying to push a 10lb baby out!!! argh!!! I have a pain in my chest right between my bbs, around the bra line area so I asked about it - its just linked to the heartburn/acid pain I have been having. Boy oh boy its getting worse. We discussed the SPD, I have just been told to take it easy and to get a new maternity support belt as mine is too tight now, I just have to pop to the hospital for a replacement. So a good appointment.

I watched a tv show called 'Babys room' the other day with Steve, obviously its about decorating the nursery. Little did I know, the designer goes in and sorts the room out whilst the mother is in labour......well......its the first time I have watched labour since that scary movie they show you at school. I think I might have changed my mind about a home birth, that epidural looks the business!! hehe Steve and I start our parent craft classes this Wednesday, I will see what information I get and then make a decision. I have been sure up to now, I can handle the pain but seeing the agony on these ladies faces in the program.......I just dont think I want to be a hero and go med free.

So thats all from me for now. I wanted to send BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Stephbmw on the birth of her son Danyal. Well done babe, I am so pleased all went great and that Danyal is a healthy weight after all that worry. Cant wait to see pics!!!! MWAH!!! x x x

Your little niece is adorable. I love those chubby cheeks. How much did she weigh when born? My son was a chub too at over 10 pounds. I am dealing with the SPD too, yuck. Don't strain yourself too much! I'm trying so hard to take it easy but it's difficult when I want to do so much!

Congratulations to reaching 30 weeks!! You're definitely on the down hill run now! Go the epidural!!! It is the best thing ever invented! I was telling everyone that I was NOT going to have one, no way! But let me tell you, when the time came I didn't hesitate. By the way, your niece is just gorgeous xxx

Glad your appointment went well hun. I know the show you are on about I watch it too sometimes. There is also another one called mulitpul mums and on the one I watched today they were filming the birth at the same hospital where I will be giving birth to my little one! which was cool to see because I gave birth to Lucy at a different hospital. I am totally with you on the labour front for me the Gas and Air was fantastic but see how you get on you never know you might suprise yourself!! I am too thinking of an epidural only because last time I didnt know what I was in for where as this time I do so in a funny way it seems a bit more scarey lol. Awwww she is super cute! Hope your ok hun! Sounds like you have been a busy bee! Thank you so much for the mention! it's so sweet of you! Everything sounds great with the appointment with the midwife i think though they are gonna worry you the opposite way to how they worried me and like you said for no good reason at all with growth scan etc.... i had mine from 32 weeks onwards saying i was measuring too small etc... and he was a lovely healthy weight in the end! And its sounds to me like your gonna have the same hassle as my cousin she was measuring 2-3 weeks ahead and had to go in for growth scans like i did and they said oohh he's gonna be a big baby over 10lbs and she was pooing herself as it turned out she was carrying big because of extra water that they didn't pick up in the scans it just said 'liquor volume normal' and her baby was 8lb 2oz born and he was perfect i wouldn't worry too much hun we all differ and im a sentiment to that i thought how small i was throughout the pregnancy my baby was never gonna be more than 6lbs and i was wrong too hehe! So glad to hear you had a good checkup!!! It's coming on along!!! Our poor baby room looks like a tornado went through it! Hubby and I are taking my birthday weekend (June 21-23) to start painting and decorating the baby room. Of course he will be painting and I will be supervising hehe!! Can't wait to get started on it because it is driving me crazy seeing everything a mess. Congrats to your sister on her beautiful baby girl! Take care.

Hi Rach little Kaylea is adorable she makes you just want to much her all up ,congrats on becoming an aunty ,cant believe Steph has had her little man Ive been watching like mad last few days for to announce him and so so glad he is healthy and all are well so pleased for them all ,our turn soon Rach and Im defo going for the epidural I know what the pain is like and I DONT like it one bit ,besides if you have help with pain control your less tired out when baby comes so you can enjoy them more instead of wanting to sleep ,depending on the time they came of course lol.xxx

aw ur niece is such a cutie!!!! my daughter was like that when she was born the nurses thought she was gona be at least 10lb but she was 8lb 4oz, glad all is well, take it easy dnt push urself xxxxxxx
