Hi ladies, I hope you are all well. I am hormonal today, but Im sure I will cope!! my toast got soggy from the tears this morning :(
Anyway!! We went to antenatal classes yesterday and Hypnobirthing was mentioned. I have already looked into this as my midwife asked me to do a bit of research as she heard it was brilliant. During the research I found a local practitioners website but didnt act on it as its pretty expensive for the course.
When we were at the class (with 30 other couples!) one of the couples mentioned they had been to hypnobirthing classes and had one to complete the course. After the class we spoke to them and they had gone to the practitioner I liked the look of. App. she is brilliant, in their 1-2-1 session last week, she taught the couple to numb different parts of their body on demand! Cool eh?
Just wondering if any of you lovely ladies have any experience of hypnobirthing or know anyone who has.

Hi ya, i got the cd from the internet 1 for relaxation in pregnancy and 1 for home birthing. I couldnt find any classes in my area but found the cd amazing. It helped me to relax throughout the pregancy even when stressed! Cannot recommend it enough. The home birthing one was good too. At the start of my labour really got me breathing and relaxing through the contractions on what was like auto pilot! My labour got induced as contractions were not coming quick enough so i completely went into melt down so didint work in the end as hubby panicked too so we both forgot what we needed to do to re-focus. If i was to have more i would still try it out again. Hope this is of some help to you! xx

I've never heard of this either but what if they hypnotise you & you don't remember the birth (he he he)... I don't know. Sounds a little silly. Good luck w/deciding on that.
