My mood while writing this blog: Happy and thankful |
ONLY 2 weeks and 4 working days til Maternity leave!!!!!!!!! c'mon! OMG, I will be so happy to finish work. It just gets in the way of me being pregnant and thinking about Emily-Rose all day! hehe Well not really, I think about her all the time anyway!
I have just got back from my midwife appointment. All went well :) I am still measuring 3 weeks ahead. Emilys heartbeat was 152, her movements are fine, she is head down still. My blood pressure, urine and weight are all fine. I mentioned some low down cramping I have, the midwife thinks its just Emily's weight pushing down and aggravating my SPD, but she is sending my urine off anyway just to check there isn't an infection.
I also mentioned the swelling in my fingers (which means I cant wear my wedding ring - v upset - its on a chain around my neck) and the loss of feeling in my hands I have in the morning and when I finish work. I have carpal tunnel syndrome so when I go to the hospital on Wednesday for a scan I need to get wrist splints. I also have to change my maternity belt that is WAY too small now. So the belt and splints combined with my crutches mean I am looking VERY attractive at the moment!!! LMAO x x
The weekend was great. Steve and I went to his bosses wedding reception on Saturday, it was alot of fun. Everyone made a big fuss of me. Again I was told constantly that I am not going to make it to my due date. lol. I really dont see that I am that big. Sunday we went to the farmers market to get yummy organic local produce, took Nelson for a lovely walk and then chilled out and watched Wimbledon. Goodness the game went on so long, Steve and I fell asleep on the sofa in each others arms.....awww xx
Exciting week for me, tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary. Wednesday I have a scan and at the weekend Steve is arranging our anniversary celebration. It will be low cost and low key but I am sure he will make it perfect. Ahhhh I am so in love with him, it gets stronger everyday. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and my beautiful little girl, my gorgeous dog, my home, my family, my friends. I am truly blessed and I should take even more time to remember that.
I have a wonderful week all x x Baby dust to all the TTC'ers, hang in there my blooming preggy friends, big congrats to all the new mummies and to all my experienced mummy friends, thank you for your continued support with all my questions and keep enjoying the most amazing job in the world!!

Monday, 6 Jul You sound like the clouds have taken you on a whole trip filled with only great and wonderful things. I am so happy your emotional state is a good one - Emily can feel all those good emotions :-) Glad all is well with your visist. My Dr said the pains are normal - just the body getting ready for baby to grow lots now. This is the time baby puts on weight fast and our bodys need to make prevision for this - thus the pains. Alas if there is any blood ( even pink ) or watery - go to hospital....Enjoy the last few weeks. christinesc -

Monday, 6 Jul Gosh, you sound like you might be cutting the maternity leave fine! Hope you make it out of there on time. the carpal tunnel reminded me that my sister had that last year when she was pregnant and she really struggled with it. It sounded awful, so I hope the splints help. She found they did. Enjoy your anniversary xx MrsMommy2 -
