| 09-7-2009 - ARGHHHH Stretch Mark City is building on my belly!!!!!!!!! |
My mood while writing this blog: Nooooooooooooooo!!!!! |
Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am gutted!!!!
I noticed a couple of tiny stretch marks the week before last. They are on the underside of my belly so I cant see them without tilting back in front of the mirror.
Well, obviously since I have know they were there I have been doing a daily check of them, complaining and slapping more cream on.
They just seem to be getting bigger and more of them! I dont think I can hold back the tide any longer!!! lol I think the answer is a big fat no......but does anyone have any idea on how to stop them.
DAMN!!! Steve paid 31.00 GBP for a little tube of cream and it hasnt bloody worked!!
Oh well :) I wasnt planning on wearing a bikini any time soon.

Thursday, 9 Jul I used Palmers Cocoa Butter for Stretch Marks during my first pregnancy and never got them, and I've just started using it again this time, but I have a feeling I won't be so lucky this time!! I know creams don't always work, but at least they make you feel as if you're doing something about it. All I can say is wear them proud, they are evidence of the miracle you have created. mommylove09 -
Thursday, 9 Jul I heard a cream Strivectin works wonders... AllyCat62683 -
Thursday, 9 Jul Cocoa butter has been my saving grace and even made my old ones fade. I got a massive amount of stretchies in the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy with my son and it was right after I stopped using the cocoa butter so I have lived by it this pregnancy. I saw a couple really tiny ones pop up around my belly button a week or so ago and started slathering more cocoa butter on and they have faded a little. I also bought cocoa butter soap that I use on my belly in the shower and not sure if they is helping but maybe. Obviously you can tell I am a firm believer in cocoa butter LOL Good luck. They will eventually fade away :o) mmyof3angels -

Thursday, 9 Jul Awww hun i still got stretchies too,i used palmers cocoa butter, though i only got 2 tiny ones on each hip, tiny ones on my one bum(tmi) and ones on my breast which is inevitable with milk coming in.Bio oil isnt working for me and its darn expensive.P.S.im not getting your blog updates anymore, whats up with that? expecting-2b-patient (Cheryl) -
Thursday, 9 Jul At least it's NOT from weight gain... it's from having your baby! I think there is a big difference! You've done wonderful with not gainning too much and spreading it through out your pregnancy! I have been slapping coco butter on every morning after the shower. It is hereditary, so it doesn't matter how much you put on, if it's in those genes you'll get them. My Mom said she got loads, so who the hell knows what will be in store for me in the next few months. They are WARRIOR STRIPES... wear them proud... LOL =) supaflychick1982 -
Thursday, 9 Jul Sorry to hear that but welcome to the club. If you got em then you were bound to get em. They do fade a lot over time though. beckybear -
Thursday, 9 Jul Slather on the cocoa butter and hope for the best! I don't think there's much more you can do but hope they fade after Emily arrives. lynsey-3 -

Thursday, 9 Jul Oh no hun. Unfotunately once youve got them, they will keep coming. Just think, 5 weeks left and you wont need to worry anymore. You still look FAB! xxx vicki--mommy of 4 -
Thursday, 9 Jul I got them with my son too, unfortunately I don't think there is anything to stop them. But luckily you said they were on your underside which means after you have the baby, they'll be real low. That's where mine are too. They're barely noticeable now on me. Hope that helps. Take care hun! christinesc -
Thursday, 9 Jul Ooooh noooooo!!! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but from what I understand is they are hereditary. These women who say they used this cream and NEVER GOT ANY STRETCHMARKS weren't going to get any anyway. So don't beat yourself up over it...complain to your mother. haha. The good news is, after you give birth, they will fade over time. I got a few just like you on my "underbelly" and they are barely noticable now.
In the meantime, I wonder if putting straight vitamin E on them would help. Or what about olive oil, or a combination of the two? idk.
Good luck and try not to worry over this. It's just part of the deal. Your body is about to do some things that will totally AMAZE you. You'll forget all about those little love marks. xoxo MrsMommy2 -
Thursday, 9 Jul Thats what happened to me with my son I made it through the whole pregnancy w/ no stretch marks and then the last few weeks they showed up underneith! I still remember going upstairs w/ a mirror and going to my husband LOOK! haha I tried every type of lotion they had out and nothing worked! However, once Wyatt was born a friend of mine suggested a cream called Scar Zone and said it will help make them disappear I got a tube of it and applied it and did notice they seemed to fade over a few weeks but they just went from a redish color to a clear white. They weren't noticible at all about the time my son was a year old maybe shortly before I don't remember the exact time line but now that i'm starting to show more with this baby i'm noticing them they are still light but i'm just hoping they dong' get red all over the place! But oh well in the end its a small price to pay. Donna (Blue) -
Thursday, 9 Jul aww hunni im sorry you got the dreaded stretch marks. When i was younger and pregnant i used boots cream and never got any this time ive used nothing and with only 24 days left im guessin ill have none again. I think it depends on your skin type and how tight your tummy was to start off with. On the up side you havent got long to go so they cant get much worse. X 2LadsAndLilLady! -
Thursday, 9 Jul Rachel, i know you and i know how long you have waited for your baby, so you have to think is it worth stretchmarks?? and im sure you answer will be hell yeah!!! I got my first few after 33 weeks and was upset and hated them, but now i look at them and look at Caden and you think to yourself are they worth what you got out of it? and he is, i look at them know and they dont bother me, tony loves me for me, no marks on my stomach will change that, he loves me for me and i know your steve loves you, so dont worry, think of them as your mummy tummy, and not everyone is lucky enough to get a mummy tummy, and anytime you feel a bit sad looking at them, look at Emily and im sure any thought about them will dissapeer and on plus side after few months they will fade out, i mean mine dont even lok that bad now and im 27 days from popping with no.2 x x x jessicanewmom2be -

Thursday, 9 Jul Oh bless you, don't worry about it though, it's just part of pregnancy and will be a constant reminder that your precious Emily Rose was once in there. I haven't got any yet but my sister has assured me I will not get through the next 9 and a bit weeks without getting some. I already have some horrible white ones on my thighs that I hate that have been there years but no one sees them so I don't care. You have done so well with hardly gaining any weight, don't worry about a few stretch marks hun xxx rooey -
Thursday, 9 Jul aww hun, dont get down, fight! Lol!
I have been using Mama Mio products and drinking lots and lots of water. One of the two has done the trick ;o) Give that a try.

Thursday, 9 Jul Try bio oil or regen oil hun its supposed to very good and while once you have stretch marks you cant make them go away the bio oil or regen oil is very good at making them fade. It works very well for scars and so will work well to fade stretch marks. Also another thing I do is whenever I have a bath I wash my hair first but after that I pour baby oil into the bath and sit and just soak for a while. It keeps your skin moist by helping you retain the moisture and therefor the elasticity in your skin. I personally use a combination using a cheap daily coco butter cream and then I also do the baby oil bath and then towards late pregnancy I then use the more expensive bio oil. With my previous pregnancy I didnt get stretch marks on my belly but did get them on my things and after using the bio oil you can barely see them now they are very nicely faded xxx hope this helps hun xxx
