30-7-2009 - FULL TERM! 37 weeks and 5 days

My mood while writing this blog: Beyond happy!

Hello fabulous ladies!!!

Thank you so much for the lovely belly comments :) I am very proud of my Emily bump hehe. I think I have dropped a little as the heartburn is MUCH better this week, but I think I still have quite a way for her to drop yet, so I am not expecting her any time soon. I have some period type pains occasionally but no other potential signs. My family is already driving me nuts asking me if there is any news, I am not due for another two weeks, they are all so convinced she is coming early.

Last weekend was lovely, Saturday was the better day for weather so we went down to the beach with Nelson in our new 4x4, we opened up the back and sat in there having a little picnic. It was lovely, then I got out a little camping chair and sat in the sun whilst watching Steve and Nelson walking along the beach (I didnt go as I am so clumsy at the moment I didnt want to trip on the stones). Of course Nelson jumped in the water and got covered in sand. I love him so much but he is a messy dog!

Sunday was dreadful here in Wales, rainning so hard. We got up late (8.00am is very late for me), had some breakfast then went to the shops. We got loads of yummy food and MORE nappies. I think I need to do a stock take to see what exactly I have collected. I have not bought too many newborn ones as I am not sure how big Miss Emily-Rose will be. In the afternoon and evening we just chilled out together, I will admit I am going to miss it just being the two of us, but I am looking forward to it being the three of us more!

This has been my first week on leave, it has been fun!!! Monday I went to my midwife appointment. My midwife was not available so I met a new one who is part of the team to cover this area. She was LOVELY. We had a good chat about natural birthing, relaxation techniques, hypnobirthing. My appointment ran way over time. I told her about the registrar at the hospital last week, she said it was disgusting me being treated that way and if I want to make a formal complaint she is very willing to take it up for me. She said some women are not as strong as me and that if they had that appointment they would have been in tears. Im not sure, I cant really be bothered to get into a whole complaint process. All the checks at the midwife appointment were fine. I go back Monday and have a growth scan on Wednesday next week.

This week I have been rearranging and cleaning the house. Lots of people are suggesting I am nesting. I didnt think so, as I am a bit of a 'Monica from Friends' I absolutley LOVE to clean. But Im not so sure, I dont normally move furniture around or clean the remote controls with a toothbrush? lol. Steve is taking time off tomorrow to help me as I am going to hire a Rug Doctor (Carpet cleaner) to clean all of the carpets upstairs (we have wood and slate downstairs). I need Steve to carry the machine upstairs and move all the furniture so I can clean everything!! hehe

In between cleaning, I make sure I have a rest but sitting on the sofa and watching something I have recorded, but I keep falling asleep. Bizzare, one minute of full throttle energy, then I am snoring!! lmao.

This morning I woke up to the most wonderful sight out of my window, it made me smile. A lovely rainbow, I cant get photobucket to work so I have put it in my photos along with a very rare full length shot of me for your amusement (no make up, hair not done)!! haha x x

I hope you are all doing GREAT! I will catch up with all the messages I have over the next couple of days.
