My mood while writing this blog: All emotions at once!!!! |
OMFG!!!!!! 1 week and 6 days to go. I am starting to get scared now!!! lol
Having a great weekend, my friend came over to visit with her little 9 month old girl called Evie. She is THE cutest. Awww, I just loved watching Steve interact with her. Little Evie loves men, so she was smiling away at him and giving him big cuddles. SO SWEET!!!
In the afternoon Steve and I went to have a look around a DIY shop, we came home with a new table and chair set with a parasol for the garden. Oops. To be honest, we have been after a new one for ages, this one we found had 75% off so we couldnt resist.
Today was nice weather, so Steve and I took Nelson for a walk. Goodness, my energy levels have really dropped. I struggled to make it round the field.
We dropped Nelson home and went down to Cardiff Bay for some lunch. It was lovely, we also had ice cream whilst sitting out on the decking watching all the lovely boats sailing in the breeze. There is something about the sea (ocean), I just find it so calming. I could stare out to sea for hours.
On the way back we went to Babies R Us......Oops again. But I did get a couple of items for Emilys room I have wanted for ages but they have never been in stock. So I have been in her room organising it. I am going to give it a good clean in the morning. Steve is outside now cleaning down the patio and decking so we can put the new table and chairs up. I think the plan is to have a BBQ tonight.....YUM!!
I am almost finished my hospital bag. I have packed everything for Miss Emily-Rose. I have to put in my dressing gown, slippers, camera and some snacks I think. Then I will be finished. I will get that sorted tomorrow as well, then I can kick back and relax waiting for the magical moment when I finally met my princess!!!! (unless of course I have to start cleaning again!)
I am in a really strange place at the moment with my emotions. I want to meet my little girl more than anything, but at the same time I am in no rush to go into labour. I think I am just scared. I just seem to be happy to wait it out at the moment!! lol. Yep, Im scared. haha
Hope you all are having a fab weekend.
Take care all, Rach & Emily-Rose x x x

Sunday, 2 Aug So close now!! I can't believe it. I'm so excited for you, and it's normal to have conflicting emotions right about now too. Just try not to put any pressure on yourself about how you expect to feel during/after the birth. Keep us posted! utopianite -
Sunday, 2 Aug How exciting! She could be here any day now!!! :-) I finished packing up my little diaper bag today, but I'm sure it will be a few more weeks for me. Enjoy the patio furniture while you can. The weather is nice enough that you should be able to sit out with the baby for a few more weeks before it cools off. The fresh air will be really good for her (and you). katekins -

Sunday, 2 Aug Ahhh bless! You wait if you are unfortunate enough to go overdue you won't be saying that anymore, It will be more like come out now Emily mommy's had enough and wants too meet you!! Aww believe me it no fun going over and when you go into labour i really hope your as lucky as i was having Danyal and sleep most the way through it and manage it at home and just arrive in time at the hospital for them to guide you to push her safely out into the world! Sheesh when i think back though he soo could of been born in the car omg!!! Or at home if i couldn't of made it to the car in the first place because with the short drive to the hospital i couldn't walk into the hospital i had to be wheeled in lol! Poor Mo!! Anyway im glad you have had such a great weekend! And that you have managed to get those things for Emily's room and that fab deal on the garden furniture your soo lucky! Enjoy lots of love and hugs steph x x x allsmiles86 -
Sunday, 2 Aug I told bob to remind me of something during labor, when I seem to be struggling. I will let you in on it. I asked him to tell me things like "youre doing great", "I love you", "youre body was made to do this", and the best most helpful one of all.... " relax, trust your body, just let it do its thing". I know that sounds cheesy, but I really thing it would help! MRSSMITH600 -

Sunday, 2 Aug Haha!! I know what you mean about being perfectly content with baby on the inside. I was like that with my first. She's safe in there. This time, I'm feeling more ready for D-Day to hurry up and get here. There will be times after she arrives that you would like to put her back! At any rate, enjoy these last few days of being a twosome. Little Miss Emily Rose is about to rock your world!! Love it!!!!!!! :) expecting-2b-patient (Cheryl) -
