My mood while writing this blog: excited and impatient!!!! |
Hi Ladies,
I am still pregnant!! hehe
I honestly thought my princess would be here by now. Nevermind, I cant complain she isnt even late yet! lol
I have been having braxton hicks for days now, on Friday night they started to have a pattern to them and were hurting a little. Probably like a bad period pain. They started consistantly timing 12 mins apart so Steve and I were getting more and more excited. I decided to go up to bed to get some rest in case the contractions got closer and the big event was imminent.......woke up a few hours later, NOTHING. All the pains had gone.....boooooooo!!!! haha
Yesterday (Saturday) we kept ourselves busy, we went for a walk with Nelson first thing, then I got the steam cleaner out again and cleaned our en suite bathroom within an inch of its life whilst Steve worked on the garden for six hours. It looks lovely out there now.
My emotions are a bit out at the moment. I am being pretty stroppy in general and a bit tearful :( I went into Emilys nursery yesterday and just sat there (I do this quite alot) the tears just started flowing. Steve came in the room and said 'whats up princess', by then I couldnt speak!! lol. When I got my breath I said 'I cant believe she is actually coming, she is almost here'. He smiled and proceeded to describe how she was going to lay there in here cot and here in her chair, how he was going to cuddle her, all the kisses he will be giving her, what she will be wearing etc.etc. He is sooooooo excited! Awwww so sweet!
I was so tired, I went to bed at 7pm for a 'little rest'. I must have fallen asleep as the next thing I knew it was 10pm and I was getting up for a pee. I jumped straight back into bed and slept (except for loo visits) until 7am. I feel great this morning.
I keep closing my eyes and saying to my body 'baby down, cervix open' to see if I can have at least some influence on the proceedings!! haha I have also been doing the usual stuff; long walks, pineapple, hot curries, lots of baths. The only option left is sex! lol. Poor Steve, he had to perform on demand to conceive and now he will be asked to do the same to get her out lol.
Last week I was too nervous, so I was happy for Emily-Rose to stay in until she is ready. Now, I have just about had enough of pregnancy; SPD, Carpal Tunnel, being tired, unable to move etc. I am ready Emily, come on - come out for the biggest cuddle of your life, mummy is ready!
BIG CONGRATS to all the new mummies, its so exciting to hear your stories and see your gorgeous pics (even if I am jealous!). Well done to all the new BFPs, I hope you enjoy your journey. Keep going TTCers, your dreams WILL come true. And to all my friends who have lost babies, I hold you close to my heart and hope that you find the strength to continue, it will be worth all the heartache in the end x x
I will post a belly pic later, I am hoping it will be the last one ;)
Lots of love, Rach and Emily-Rose.

Sunday, 9 Aug Awwww hun i am in tears reading this blog! You are finally here so close to having this beautiful baby after all you have endured! I am super proud of you and soooo happy i cannot put it into words that would ever make any sence! I know how you feel i was stroppy and soo emotional the last two weeks before my baba was born and couldn't explain why and still can't! It's because i think your body's tired and aching and you are soo ready for this big event that you want it soo bad that you actually ache for that baby in your arms even though your closer than you have ever beenin your life it still feels too long away! If that makes sence? But wanting to meet her and see her and to be able to just stare at her for hours with the biggest smile across your faces ahhhhh its all soo close!!! Remember me saying to you i cannot wait to kiss Danyals face off! Well sounds like Steve and you will be doing the same hehe! Soooooo exciting!! I cannot wait for you to have her hun! i wanna hear all about it and see piccies oohh i cannot wait! Lots of love hun try and rest as much as possible to conserve enery for the big moment it helps alot i can tell you! You might feel abit fed up or bored now i certainly did but i haven't got a moment now not that im complaining but you will have plenty to keep you occupied soon woop!! love steph xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ttcbby1 -

Sunday, 9 Aug Can't wait until she arrives. It was exciting for me when Aidan finally arrived (I was induced though due to health reasons). After you give birth, I promise you will have no control over your emotions. I'm a very timid person and do not like to show my emotions like crying in front of other people, but when they gave me Aidan I couldn't help it at all. It was an awesome feeling to finally see whose been kicking me. Try to enjoy the rest of the pregnancy, a lot of women miss it especially the little kicks and stuff =]
