| 15-11-2009 - Emily-Rose week 12 | My mood while writing this blog:In love! |
She is doing so great. We are getting so many smiles, chatter and little giggles out of her now. She is mostly happy but she certainly knows what she wants! if she is tired or hungry, I defo know about it and have to fix it pretty quickly! lol. Her voice and cry are getting louder haha.
She is growing soooooo big, already in 3-6 month clothes, with some of them already getting too small. She is still tracking in the 98 percentile, when she was weighed on Friday she came in at 16lbs 9oz, which is pretty heavy esp. when I have to carry her in her car seat! lol She has her 2nd set of injections on Tuesday, I am hoping Steve will be back from his meeting in time to come with me, I dont fancy holding her whilst they inject :(
Last night when trying to eat Steves hand, Emily rolled onto her side! I was sooooooo proud of her. Also, earlier that day during tummy time she lifted herself right up and stayed there for ages. Awww it bought tears to my eyes. I love when she shows us a new trick! lol.
We are still enjoying going to our groups. On Thursday we had our first session of baby massage, before the stay and play session we normally go to. She loved the massage, apart from the last bit where she was on her belly, I think she got bored at that point and decided she was hungry (again!). I am still breastfeeding, so its really easy to feed her when we are out and about. Although, I still cant bring myself to feed her in a restaurant! lol.
Friday evening, I went out without Emily-Rose for the first time (apart from 2 x 1 hour trips to the shops and a hairdressing appointment). I went over to one of the girls from breastfeeding group house, she was having a girls night in. Wow, it was strange not to have Emily on my lap. I left home about 7.30pm, Steve text me around 8.20pm to tell me she was screaming, the about 20 mins later she was settled again. I think I got home around 11pm and she was still fast asleep, we didnt hear a peep from her until 7am. That is great news as I am out Friday night this week at a reunion with some girls I worked with 10 years ago. OMG, I am so excited to be seeing them all again. At least I know Emily will be ok. Also, I managed to get her to take a couple of ounces of expressed milk earlier today, so I will work on that during the week so she can feed on Friday if she needs to whilst I am out. I also tried her with formula, but she is not having that AT ALL. Her face screws up like its the worst taste ever, she spits it out, then laughs!
I am loving being at home and spending time with my little girl.......needless to say I am not looking forward to returning to work. Oh well, at least I am lucky enough to be able to work from home. I still have a few weeks to go on maternity leave.
Steve and I are doing good. We had a bit of an issue (well I had an issue with him!) as I was doing all the housework, which I dont think is fair. So we had a chat and sorted it out, all is back to normal :)
All the best to anyone in the 2ww, congrats to new BFPs, enjoy every moment all those who are pregnant, good luck those about to drop!! lol and to all the mummies out there, big hugs to you all as you are doing a great job!!!
Take care all,
Rach & Emily-Rose x x x
