22-11-2008 - Pregnancy Update October 12th

We are writing this update late, but wanted to add it since we still remember. I, Ryan, is typing the blog with my wife in my presence. My wife and I had both been back and forth for a few months regarding whether we wanted to get pregnant or not. We were struggling with what to do because I am getting my Master's Degree in School Psychology, and my wife is in her first year of teaching, but we also wanted our kids to be close in age. In September, we finally decided to try for pregnancy. My wife was tracking her cycles just in case we both decided we wanted to, we would be able to try and have an increased chance of getting pregnant. We thought that September would be perfect because the baby would be born in June when Summer began and my wife was no longer teaching. I thought of it as, if we got pregnant, then it was God's will for us, if not, we would wait another year. On October 12th, while my parents were in town visiting, after a week of trying pregnancy tests since we should have known early according to her cycle, we finally found out that we were pregnant!!! We were very excited because we thought it would work out perfectly. We told my parents the day we found out and they were very excited too. We figured we were five weeks pregnant and scheduled an appointment to see the OBGYN who was supposed to help deliver Nevaeh, but he didn't because the pregnancy was so fast, he didn't get there in time.
