| 11-5-2009 - 33 week pregnancy update | My mood while writing this blog:content |
Hello Everyone,
I just thought I would send a pregnancy update. I am now 33 weeks pregnant (34 in two days) and haven't really had any issues the entire time. At my last appt, at 32 weeks, both babies were head down and weighed about 4 1/2 pounds. I have gained a total of about 50 pounds as of now, which sucks, but is good for the babies.
The only problem is that I have had a constant cough for a pretty long time. About three days ago I started having pain under my arm on my left side. Yesterday I coughed and felt like something was pulled or moved because the pain got really intense. It scared me really bad because I didn't know what was going on. My husband called 911 and they came and got me. Thank God my blood pressure and oxygen intake were both okay, but the doctors still wanted to do an MRI to make sure I didn't have a blood clot. I was nervous about this at first because I don't like taking medication or doing anything of that sort when I am pregnant. Even though I have been successful up until then, I chose to do the MRI because the doctors said the risks of having a blood clot are worse than the risks of actually doing the MRI for the babies. They said that since the twins were 33 weeks, they were already fully developed and that the MRI's are bad in the first trimester. I agreed to do this to ensure that my well-being was okay. They even put two of the protectors one over the other), which covered my entire belly and sides. This is the reason I am not extremely happy right now; I wish I hadn't done it. They said that I had no blood clot and that it was actually inflammation in my chest. Thank God I am okay, but now I wished I hadn't done it. I hope I didn't hurt my babies. What do you all think? The babies should be okay, right? I read some stuff online and they also said that in the first trimester is bad.
