My mood while writing this blog: Happy |
Hello Everyone,
I am very happy right now because I had my 34 week 5 day check-up today and things are looking great! After checking the weights of both babies, the doctor told us that they are average for being 2 days away from 35 weeks. Baby A is 5 lbs 5 oz and Baby B is 5 lbs 4 oz.
We also talked about the possibilities of my delivering the babies vaginally. The doctor said that since Baby A is bigger, that makes vaginal delivery a better option. Baby A is also head down (which helps), but Baby B is transverse :\, which complicates things. He said that based on the way the pregnancy has gone throughout (good), my chances of delivering vaginally are good (50%). I don't really understand how it is, but I am taking his word. The doctor said that I am also a good candidate for vaginal delivery because I already had my daughter who was delivered naturally. I am very excited about this news. The only thing that was a bit scary for both my husband and I was that he told us after Baby A is delivered he will wait 30 minutes for Baby B to come out on her own. After that, if she does not, he will break her sac. He said if she is head down, they will then deliver her, but if she turns breech, he will ask us if we still want to deliver her vaginally. He said that there is about a 5% chance that things could go wrong with a breech vaginal delivery; it could result in death or brain damage. Since it is just 5%, we are not sure what our decision will be, but he said we need to decide soon. Do any of you have suggestions or know the outcomes of people who delivered in this way?
Lastly, we are now just preparing for our twins arrival. The room is almost ready for them and we are taking out some clothes that Nevaeh had so the babies can use. We are so excited for them to arrive. Well, I hope all is going well for everyone. Talk to you all soon! :)

Tuesday, 19 May I don't know about the breech situation personally, but alot of women on the site www.twinstuff.com have delivered baby B breech and everything turned out fine. Have you checked out that site before?
