03-6-2009 - 37 week update...OBGYN appt ExcitedMy mood while writing this blog:
Excited

Hello everyone,
I hope all is well. So I am finally 37 weeks with TWINS today!!! I am so very excited. We saw the OBGYN today and he asked my husband and I if we had made any decisions regarding the delivery of our twins since Baby A was head down and Baby B ended up turning from transverse to breech. We told him that we would like to delivery Baby A naturally and asked him if he could put his hands inside me and turn Baby B while the other doctor attempted to turn her from outside. He said he was comfortable with this and wouldn't mind doing it. He told us as long as we were aware that this puts the risks on Baby B. We said we were having wishful thinking that after Baby A is delivered, Baby B would turn and be head down as well. Then we asked him if he would do a scheduled C-section which he said he would do next week when they are 38 weeks. We asked him how long it would take for him to induce labor and he said when I became 39 weeks (in two weeks) he would do that.

We are so happy and excited that they have made it this far with no complications. Well after going over the above information, we confirmed with our doctor that he would delivery Baby A and then hope that Baby B turns, but if not, we would like for him to turn Baby B and delivery accordingly. Then he made us aware, again, that this puts the risks on Baby B. My husband then stated, she'll only have the risk if she hasn't already turned head down. He said that is highly unlikely. Then he checked our babies and it turned out that both baby A and B are HEAD DOWN!!! This made us so happy and relieved because we didn't have to make a tough decision. He said that he would delivery naturally and what he stated before doesn't hold now since Baby B turning lowers the risks. Both babies are totally active, but Baby B has been moving the entire time. We were hoping that she would move again because last week she was breech and the week before she was transverse. Now she is head down. We hope she stays this way and that we have them soon.

Both babies are also 6 lbs 6 oz so now we are just waiting. Please send some delivery dust or anything our way so we can have our babies this weekend. That would be amazing!!! Hope all is going well for everyone else.
