| 03-11-2009 - OPK Craziness! |  My mood while writing this blog:Confused |
This is my very first Blog! So, anyway....I miscarried on Oct 21st but I was only like 4 or 5 weeks along so I was optimistic about ovulating this cycle. I started taking OPK's on Sunday. Sunday the line was visible but very faint. Same thing on Monday. Well, this morning (Tues) at 11:45 the line was dark but just a tiny bit lighter than the control line. I took another one at like 2:00 and it too was dark but just a tiny bit lighter than the control line. Well at 5:45 the line was WAY lighter than the control line. What does that mean? I was told this could mean that my LH surge was short and that I should ovulate in the next 12-24 hours. This totally makes sense but I was under the impression that you will continue to show the LH surge until after you ovulate which would mean I would have ovulated between the hours of 11:45 and 5:45 today. Does anyone have any advice, opinions, insight, personal experiences they would like to share that might help me figure out my situation?

I would get a few of those around 5 - 7 days apart, before my actual "O". For two cycles that happened until I ran out of opk's , lol. So by the third time I actually got a positive (this also happened to fallenangel22), on day36 for one cycle! It's quite maddening, lol. HOWEVER, doesn't hurt to BD just in case! They say not to use a opk after you get a positive, but if it's not really a pos. then maybe keep using them, just in case. Quick question, weren't you on here the last time I was on here too? My name then was Hope-n-Joy.

Sounds a little like you had your surge already. And to for sure BD big time. Your LH will go down after O and then if you are pregnant can get increasingly darker after a few days
