10-11-2009 - Extra scans are not happening now!

My mood while writing this blog: Happy but sad too!

So after my blog about my concerns over being told I need extra scans at 28 weeks, 34 weeks and 38/40 weeks (and no one really explaining it to me properly), I go to the hospital yesterday for the 28 week one only to be told that they arent doing it because there appears to be no reason for it!!!! So on the one hand I am pleased that they are not concerned about the baby :-) but on the other hand dissapointed because I wont get to see bubs again until he/she arraives. I did ask B/F last night about a 4d scan and he said that with Christmas coming up and all the things we need to get for bubs, we could not really jusify the cost and that I need to be patient and wait for the big day now!! :-(

Hence - Happy but sad too!

You can always ask the dr for a scan pulling the age card and stating you are concerned for you rbabies health as well...Some Dr's will allow one more good scan before your due date...just try it...if you are truely concerned or worried it wouldnt hurt to ask...
