My mood while writing this blog: ok |
Well ladies, I went for a follow up u/s today and it seems as if "Dorie' is measuring small for her age. She is measuring 25wks and 2days, where as I am 26wks and 4days. I don't know if i shud be worried. The technician said that it is ok and she it is kinda normal-ish...something like that. I have to go later to p/u the pics (in 5 days) I have to go to my gyno on May 07, so i will know in details then. See i always thought that I would have a big baby cause I have diabetis and I am overweight, so this is kinda shocking for me. Anyone ever went thru something like this? do u girls think I shud worry about this? See i don't care if the baby is small, i just want to know that the baby is healty and growing properly. I just hope that nothing is wrong with her, cause that might be why is not up to standard lenght? pls comment freely...thanks girls.

Wednesday, 22 Apr What type of diabetes do you have? type 1 or 2 ? here-i-go-again -
Wednesday, 22 Apr I wouldn't worry about it at all. At my doctor, unless it is a full 7 days difference, they won't even change your due date. My first pregnancy and this one my babies have measured small. My daughter was born perfectly healthy on her due date, but she was just 7 lbs and only 19 inches long - which isn't tiny, but is kind of small - and she measured small the entire pregnancy.
Its not an exact science and as long as everything else, i.e., the heartbeat, organ development, etc. looked good, then I wouldn't worry!!!
Good luck Donna (Blue) -
Wednesday, 22 Apr I wouldn't worry to much being put forward and back is all about being pregnant, they put me back a few days and now ive not seen anyone in 5 weeks, not seen the midwife since week 9. I guess over here we fend for our selfs. lol res -
Wednesday, 22 Apr Don't worry. Chancesare the baby is just fine. Any chance that your due date may be off? RainbowRach -
Wednesday, 22 Apr hello hun, my midwife said to me that measuring two weeks either side of your dates is not an issue. As long as your pregnancy is making progress at the right rate for you there is nothing to worry about. x domevapurple -

Tuesday, 21 Apr I'd love to be able to offer advice but I'm afraid I'm going through the same thing. I have an ultrasound booked for next tuesday because the doctor is concerned...I'm still losing weight but being that I'm a big girl it wasn't a worry until now, so he wants to check and make sure the baby is growing and that there's enough amniotic fluid...ugh. I'm trying not to worry because until they tell us something we don't have anything we can do about the situation now do we? lol. Let me know how it goes for you, my ultrasound is on the 28th and the follow up with the specialist is on the 30th so I'll keep you posted. Huge hugs:-)
